TrantaLocked
I don't understand why all the hate and flaming. The game is coming out to consoles first, the piracy rate is much lower, and almost all gamers who have gaming PCs have consoles as well, for the exclusives. Now, R* wants to earn money, and it will definitely earn more money the more platforms they release the game to. However, with rampant piracy on the PC, they want to cash in on the consoles first, then rely on the PC gamers who have missed the game, and those real gamers with multiple systems who want to experience the game with much higher details. It's all about money to them, nothing to do with PC vs consoles love/hate relationship. The did not publish RDR for PC because they claim you would have to play it with a controller, therefore they don't want to provide bad experience for the gamers. However, for GTAV, they are simply saying we have nothing to tell you now, and of course they won't be telling anything for at least several months after the game launches, to sell as many copies as possible. Only after that period, they will announce PC version. But I believe it's in the pipeline. Mark my words. No, piracy is just as bad on the X360, most games get leaked and you can buy access to partnernet despite not being a dev or member of the press, which can be used to play pirate/prerelease games and find out what's being made. So, no piracy is not a bigger problem on the pC. Go to any torrent site, and look at the top overall torrens, X360 is up in the top two or three. For instance: Hitman Absolution is leaked before its release date, Halo 4 was leaked and that made the press. When was the last time a PC leak made the mainstream press? It is easy to pirate a game on 360 but for one it compromises your chances of not getting banned from Live/PSN, and second, console gamers rarely, if ever, pirate. Maybe 10,000 out of millions do. With PC, there are hundreds of thousands at the least. Look on thepiratebay.se and search Halo 4. There are currently 230 seeders/555 leechers for the MOST POPULAR torrent. That is practically nothing compared to the numbers you see with PC game torrents. Edited November 19, 2012 by TrantaLocked
CTCCoco
Why the hate and all? Because the forums are full of unmature people, that´s why. Mostly kids which are under 17 years old. Don´t expect them to act wisely...

cody7799
How many times do we have to tell you PC players that the GAME WILL COME OUT FOR PC!!!! but after console version gets released and no it's not going to come out week after the console release. Wait at least 4 months after console launch. Hey, knucklehead, they said the same things for red dead.. now look at it. Hey poopyfacetomatonose RDR is not GTA almost every GTA came out for PC. Red Dead is the ONLY R* game to not see a PC release (considering their main releases; I never touched Table Tennis.) It was stated the reason was PC development on the requirements to run it was either too expensive or wouldn't be playable on enough systems for people to get their hands on it working well. Following this game, both LA Noire and Max Payne 3 were released onto PC, the latter of which had quite a minimal delay.

That's a load of crock. If it can run on consoles, it can run on average gaming PCs no questions asked.

cody7799
Look it up. That's the reason they gave. I was wondering a while back if I could get the game on PC and found I couldn't. I'd provide a link if I weren't running off a POS cell phone. And regardless, the rest of my post stands. It's more likely than not we'll see a PC release. It was practically announced in the Multiplayer.it interview.

bl4r
They released every GTA and almost all of their games for the PC, why would they make an exception for their biggest game? Btw., can someone explain to me, why they released LA Noire for the PC but not RDR?

That is practically nothing compared to the numbers you see with PC game torrents. MW2 on X360 Two million pirated copies (and that's a low estimate) were downloaded, it was the most pirated game at the time. Hardly ten thousand users really, think about that, 2,000,000 users pirating an X360 game, that's PC stereotypes right there. Halo 4 on X360: Leaked a month before release date: (a problem that all systems share), approximately (as nobody published figures) several million illegal downloads and bans from XBL. However, you can continue to pirate games and play them offline, as you can with a PC.

Exactly, and (IIRC and I'm going by posts on the Xbox forums) they likely won't reverse a ban however much you ask and if you tell them 'I have a system that got banned' they will likely tell you to not play prereleased games and that's the end of it. Also, Cody, no. The GTA <insert name here> Stories never got a release. MCLA never got a release, Table Tennis never got a release, RDR never got a release, Red Dead Revolver never got a release. sats
The problem with rockstar releasing pc version is they estimate xbox version to sell more than 25 million copies psr around 20 million copies pc around 7 million copies max upto 10.10 million is a lot so much sales.other companies will be extremely happy with it.but rockstar always thinks about sales ratio of pc to consoles and they are not satisfied with it and delaying it also makes them worry as it may reduce sales as originally estimated so they think not making pc version at all is better in the end.rockstar was such a greedy giant.petition only may help.
