I'd love them to at least do some videos on the "switch" technology, but I hope they don't plug the game to death. Maybe it needs these "video releases" to show what this new system is like, a lot of people are curious to see how it works. Maybe only the switching man, but no further gameplay. That has never happened for GTA trailers and i wouldn't consider it a nice change if they do start with them now. The way they handled GTA releases was something i can apreciate, it had its own kind of charm i guess. You just didn't know what it would exactly look like in third person with the HUD. When GTA IV leaked and videos on youtube appeared, i ignored them all, cause i want that 'special' moment of a new GTA to myself. But i doubt this will happen, because look at how long until we got the second trailer and it didn't go without it's countdown and plenty of hype. But look at other games like RDR, LA Noire and MP3. Not alot of people knew about RDR and that was the perfect way to show people what they would be getting into with that game. But the whole forum will be talking about it, you know that damn well, and it will be hard to stay away from it then. And it would simply suck bigtime, because Rockstar stressed it that they wanted to keep plenty back, so that the element of surprise would remain intact. This time around they wouldn't let the people in much on the game. Well, right now..i already think the opposite, the last few days we've gotten plenty of information, it's fine for now. Just make a third trailer, perhaps even a fourth but keep it at that. The mystery is what has always been cool about the 'waiting' for a GTA game. Tell me if you've read this would you be aware how the second trailer looked like? The same happens if they show a tech video with the guns, or a side activity or the environment, even if you read it you didn't saw it yourself so I don't see how that could affect the surprise effect for you. Like more then a year... True true, it's been a long time from debut trailer to finally some screenshots in July and the big blowout that happened now. And i was planning on reading only the cover story and staying away from the rest, but i felt that the cover story didn't explain a whole lot so i just had to read those other previews and thus i know alot more, which is ok. But videos that are exactly like the ones for RDR, LA Noire and MP3...that will ruin it bigtime. They could have said 'for more trailers etc...' but it's also possible that some of us, including me are looking too much into it. @Cyfa Yes that's what i'm afraid of. And that could start in January, just like the video you posted. But this would be highly unusual for GTA, they would only do this because of the new character switching system? Alot of screenshots show the same situation but from a different angle, all quite clearly to not spoil too much,which i for one can really apreciate.
