The ghettos is all 1 district and is not a 1:1 representation of south LA.

Rockstar design team was inspired by famous hood landmarks(Swapmeet, Randy Donuts, Compton court building; merged them all, creating they own Ghettos of LS; looks about the same size as GTA IV bohan. No more gaunton, Jefferson, idlewood.

this seems like a pretty feasible feature given all the other stuff we're seeing, and for whatever reason you couldn't really do it in gta iv. do we have any info on something like this? didn't see anything in the trailers but may have missed it.

i agree man, just hoping for a confirmation. since they're trying to recreate three different major social climates for each main character (along with everything in between) it's feasible that stuff might get lost in the shuffle. i was amazed that you couldn't just ride around with 3 people in IV and play mini games and fight and stuff. but if they don't include it for franklin that's gonna be a major knock. can't really imagine surviving in enemy gang territory on your own.

The ghettos in GTA IV looked incredible. The problem with them was that they were just to safe a place to be, there was almost no crime or violence taking place.

Me too. This signs are looking good so far. Apparently gang members will shoot at the player if he's in their turf as well as the police. There should be random encounters, and there should be gangs shooting it out in the streets.

That's what I was thinking recently. Every time I got a bounty I would always run off to Thieves Landing. Although with the modernization with police I doubt the police wouldn't try to come after you. Maybe they'd call in SWAT to raid gang controlled areas you may be hiding in?
