L-C-P-D
I am worried about a couple of things, but what worries me by far the most is how the car physics will be. Dan Houser made it sound like driving will be similar to Need for Speed or Just Cause 2. I don't even know what I would do if this became true. Here is what Dan Houser said about the car physics. (Below) Now to me, that sounds horrible. I am the kind of person that would grab a couple of friends in Grand Theft Auto 4 and, "try" to go off-roading but obviously in Liberty City there is no spots to go off-roading nor did Rockstar even think about that. But now, a huge world full of country side, water, mud, mountains and arcade car physics? That depresses me. I really hope that the car physics are exactly like or better then Grand Theft Auto 4's. But don't get me wrong it may turn out alright, I am just estimating based on the image above. ❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖ Now, my hopes are down even more after watching the second trailer. While watching I noticed sporty cars flying at extremely high speeds, yet they weren't struggling one bit. I do NOT want it to turn out like this but sadly that is what it sounds like. That would be absolutely horrible. (video below) ❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖❖ To be updated soon. blakeney
Yea this is my only concern at the moment too...... everythingelse i trust R* know what they are doing, and it will turn out better than expected as per usual. But when Houser says it like that, it does concern me! I'm keeping faith in them though! Could they really give us spawling "off-road" and hash up the driving at the same time? Surely not! IMO there was nothing wrong with IV's cr physics, sure it wasn't easy to pick up initially, but once mastered, drifting round corners/in and out of traffic was SO rewarding! Psychoticuk
At first i kinda hated the handling in GTA iv but then it grew on me, I have to say though some of the cars do handle like boats and the handling does need tweaking a bit but I have faith in R* I'm pretty positive they wont make it arcady

Columbo
I agree. This is my only worry with this game, as it's by far the single most important thing for me. Rewarding car physics is a definitive must.
CallCenterZombie
You been to LA? LOL...the car chases stick out like a sore thumb just like the new trailer reveals. I have faith in Rockstar about the driving mechanics. All you have to do is pop up the convertible top and slowly ease back on the gas pedal then enjoy your ride. Yea when i was a kid frogger was the closest thing to this lol.... going by the level of convosation going on here, and lack of name calling over someone thinking something, i would say all of us are in the same boat in that aspect.... there's nothing wrong with knowing how perfect this can be (WILL BE) and being concernd that it might have a chink in its perfection! Hammertime12
I am absolutely ecstatic about this game. Out of everything that has been said of the game, this is the only thing that worries me. I want it to be more like gta iv but the cars dont slide 50 miles when you turn with the hand brake. I want it to stay the same as IV but it sticks to the ground a little more.

coin-god
I agree with this, I remember when I went back to GTA SA... driving felt so arcadish. LCPD, in case you don't get it, simonp92 is agreeing with you about the car physics.

WorldWideFM
Come on, the way he says it makes it clear he is meaning that they are trying to make the cars handle more like real cars: ie: a step further in the same direction that IV first took. He says they're doing something with it not really realised in previous GTAs, that isn't an arcadey driving system, so don't worry. We'll get a heavily refined version of IV's handling, I think his wording quite strongly implies that it's going forward rather than going backwards. Fail_At_GTA
I really hope we dont have MCLA driving. GTA 4 was fine with me. Ruining the driving in GTA 5 will just ruin most of the game for me as I always enjoy driving around and doing crazy stunts.
