It's bullsh*t. Good thing my brother has a PlayStation. I might not get it for Xbox... The sh*t might explode... It can barely handle the games I have now...

Yeah your 256mb xbox arcade can barley keep up

Kill Frenzy!

Why can't fit it on the 360 if 360 is thousand times better than a sh*tt blurry PS3.

Xbox 360 disc space = problem, just admit it already. I was even on 360's side last time around, but I now realize the dvd is holding us back now.

Personally I believe it CAN fit onto one disk but for the sake of discussion lets delve into it!

It shouldn't have no more then 2 disks, if the story is longer than IV.

They will fit the map onto both disks, mutiplayer and the first half of the story on the first disk and then the rest of the story on the 2nd disk. Not a big deal at all... I really don't know why we keep discussing the same sh*t over and over.

Also on the part about the map, do you think they would make you switch disks just for you to go to another part of the map while transitioning to another character? No, you know why? Rockstar themselves said they are moving away from loading screens and the sort and it would be quite dumb to have to swap disks everytime just to play as Franklin who is in East Los Santos, then switch to Trevor in the desert.

How can it not fit??

2+ disks for xbox

2 disks...50% story

3 disks...33% story

etc.

Multiplayer is accesable from all disks .....Why you might ask? Multiplayer for gta is small, all scripting.

Now, thread can be closed/

Everyone said the same exact thing before San Andreas came out.

Not only did they fit it on one disc, but they did it without loading screens.

GTA V will ship on a single disc.

I haven't had to login to make a post on this forum for a while, but this thread has made me.

It might be two discs, but they might just go down the halo 4 route where you can install the 2nd disc (for the multiplayer) but once you have installed it you simply go through the menu option of disc 1 and it works seemlessly.

It's the video files from the cutscenes that take up disk space. I reckon you'll have to make a disk swap halfway thru the story.

The map will be the same - duplicated - on each disk. Multiplayer will be accessible from either disk and it will be the same. All the assets such as cars, pedestrians and whatever will be the same.

Think of it as getting two games with different videos on each disk.

I'm getting it for xbox and I'm not worried about this at all.

Hasn't this already been discussed before? 15 other times?

I think we can all agree that GTAV will not fit on the 360 without the use of multiple discs. Whats the problem? So what if we have to download the extra discs on the HD? I dont see a problem with that since I already download most of my games on my HD anyway (and Im sure Im not the only one in the XBOX community that does it). R* will figure out how to play the game without inserting other discs in the middle of gameplay so dont worry about it.

Pointless Thread for a pointless discussion.

With the whole map open from the start, I don't see how disc swapping can be implemented. Especially for multiplayer, which is on the same map. It doesn't seem like Rockstar would want for you to be flying from the desert to the city and change disc mid air.

if it's multiple disks it'll be like halo 4 where it'll let you play single player off one disk, but if you want multi you'll have to use the second disk (install disk) or it'll have a okay disk, and an install disk, giving you the option of using the install disk, or (oh gods no) downloading the content VIA xbox live.

And what if it is on multiple discs or via download or install. We're all going to play the same game regardless. Time to chill out and enjoy the anticipation for the next 6 months or so. cool.gifinlove.gifbiggrin.gif

I don't understand why PS3 players give the Xbox Players a hard time, for every single one of your games, you have a mandatory install progress before you can even play it..........

Anyway, who cares. Just install the extra disc(s) onto your harddrive

There is literally zero proof to back up that statement. So no, everyone does not agree.

Well Skyrim fits on one disc, and that's a pretty huge game.

If it's more than one, just install it on your console. I'm sure it won't be more than two discs. Don't worry XBOX users.

I'm lucky enough to own both a 360 and a PS3, but I prefer the Xbox any day due to achievements and online system.

Really I don't see a problem with this, I always install the games I know im going to be playing alot to HDD anyway so make no difference to me. and Either way really would not bother me if I had to swap discs now and then, Not like I have to walk back to the shop to get it, it will be right infront of me and take 10 Secs max.. Wow smile.gif

XBOX 360 discs can hold 9 GB of data. GTA IV has 8.5 GB of data. Unless Microsoft releases their version of the Blu Ray (50 GB of data), GTA V on XBOX 360 will have multiple discs.

Maybe they've became masters of compressing... Like Bethesda, @ Skyrim. was only like 4GB installed on the XBOX 360.

This is simply not true. They don't take up jack. Audio files on the other hand...
