Yeah, in SP you'll notice way more gang spawns, which contribute to immersion, while in MP you'll see for example only 3 ballas at Grove Street, while in SP it has at least 15. Also they don't attack you that quick in MP and they have much less dialogue.

Maybe they were forced out of East LS by Vagos, and then took Grove Street, but kept the set name. Or joined up with another SC Balla set to take Grove Street. It's possible since Vagos supposedly ran the Aztecaz out of LS.

There's no way Vagos ran Aztecas, where you got that info from? Specially since they both sport two different colors,

 

Aztecas are rare to find as they only have 1 spawn location which share with Vagos near the South Central Hospital, but this is possibly due to a R* f*ck up, same as how the Korean mob only spawns at the staircase near the Gas Station in Little Seul.

 

Another thing I've found is that the Aztecas in Trevor's smuggling missions are mostly elders on their 40', probably OG's, unlike the mexican cholo ones you see spawn (Not Marabunta Grande, as you can see Mara often sports MG tattoos on the face and look like hispanic inmigrants which have a more brownish tan on skin) rather than the Hispanic Americans such as Vagos and Aztecas, though Vagos are mostly comprised of several Hispanic nationalities, like Guatemalan, you'll hear them say constantly "Chapines rifan de a madre" or any other dialogue that involves the term "Chapin" which is refered to Guatalaman people. Aztecas on the other part are mostly Mexicans Americans or Mexican Inmigrants and clearly based on Sureños.

I think the in game radio mentions that the Aztecaz use to have more influence in LS, but moved their operations out to the desert. The Vagos thing was more of an assumption really. Thanks for the info anyway, I always thought the Vagos were base on surenos due to their large presence in LS.

I haven't even seen them in Vespucci. I've searched near the hospital I don't know how many times as well, but they're yet to spawn there either. They really should have had some permanent territory in LS.

Nah, the Vagos are based on real Surenos sets like the18th Street and Florencia 13 gangs. The only reason some people think Vagos are based on Latin Kings is because they share the same color of yellow and black. The Latin Kings are still active, but they now claim to be a political/activist group and not a gang, but they are still regarded as a gang by the authorities.

 

I very much doubt there are Latin Kings in Cali, they are found mostly in cities in the North East and Midwest U.S. Even if they are in Cali, they must be of very little significance.
