No they only have 9mm pistols, and that's what really annoys me about the gangs in this game. Even the gangs in GTA IV had much more variety than the gangs in GTA V. In IV, gang members had pistols, SMGs, shotties, and even AKs (Russian Mob). V's gangs are based on LA gangs, and LA gangs are very well-known for the heavy firepower they use in their gunplay in real life.

Gang Bangers use hand to hand signals just like the cops but they have a different set of animations like crossing fingers or other sorts of signs.

 

And about the bigger guns in GTA IV, NPCs in this game can't asspull bigger weapons and them having good accuracity is a problem already. Just imagine going through Grove Street and all of the sudden 15 Ballas pull out AKs and Shotguns out of their asses and you've be dead in a couple of seconds.

That's bullsh*t. Gangs in LA well-known for carrying heavey firepower and using it gunfights. You are 5 times more likely to get shot by an AK, shotty, or SMG in gang war in LA than in New York City. So how on earth can LC gangs in GTA IV be packing more firepower than the LS gangs in GTA V ? It makes no f*cking sense at all.

Plus the AI in GTA V can literally turn you into swiss cheese no matter what weapon they use.

Wrong, in free roam if you start sh*t with Faustins guys in Hove Beach they will bring out all kinds of guns from AK's to shotties to micro smg's.

 

Also the black gangs in the game around northwood, holland and firefly projects will shoot at you with micro smg's if provoked.

Wow, did you actually play GTA IV properly ? Sometimes I don't know whether you talk sh*t and make things up just to support your points, or you really are that ignorant or lacking knowledge of GTA games.

 

There was NO gang in GTA IV that carried just pistols. They are all either had an SMG or shotgun as well as a 9mm, and the Russian Mob even had AKs like Carmelo just said.

Russians gangsters will sometimes use AKs. There is nothing to question about this. I've played the game many times to check out stuff like this.

 

Gangs in LS need those kind of weapons because it reflects reality, because LS gangs are direct re-creations of LA gangs. LA gangs are very well-known for for drive-bys with AKs and SMGs, and the Chicano gangs especially are very well-known for walk-bys with shotguns.

Not sure if many people in here noticed, and they don't really fit under a street gang, but around the beaches of Sandy Shores at nighttime in the broken down houses or buildings that are near Trevor Phillips trailer, a group of guys that look like juggalos ( fans of the Insane Clown Posse ) exist and are usually smoking.


Some wear the face paint and even wear shirts with a clown's face on it.
