Good thing about it, if u started a turf war and killed 3/4 of the other gang and roll out, once it died down, that turf would be occupied by mostly families but every once in a while there would be a few members hangin or rollin through that turf and it would spark off a shoot out. And that was on PS 2. Makin this happen on gta v should be no hassle at all.

 

Also, home invasions was the sh*t. I used to recruit two grove street members, one hop in the bac and one in te passenger of the truc, ten get where I'm goin and have the two stand watch while I ransac the house. Good sh*t.

Even GTA IV had sh*t where Niko could gain maximum friendship with Dwayne and get his perk, which was to call up a couple of black gang members from the hood to assist him. These guys would help you in any situation. I used love bringing them along to ride with me around town doing drug deals for Little Jacob and stealing cars for Brucie. They blast at anyone who tried to front and give me trouble, and a real good gunfight would always go down.

Am I the only one that remembers reading that you can call Lamar for back up? It said that as you progress, you can get the ability to call Lamar and he will arrive with "Grove Street gang members" to help you in a shootout. I imagine that would have worked like Dwayne's ability when he sends those crazy ass goons to come help you.

Yeah. GTA IV had all of the good features. Only problem was that people don't do anything but walk up and down.

Anyway, I've been asking a lot of people their opinions on the gang sh*t in GTA V. Some say they don't really care about it because the game ain't about the hood, but others say that it's a big disappointment on how small and boring it is. Hopefully R* realizes this. That sh*t need a big improvement honestly, can't even have fun in the hood when I play now.
