Yes, but wouldn't be cool to have other city environments apart from LS?

To be honest I don't care. I'd rather R* focus their attention on one great city with a rural setting to break up the monotony.

I am probably speaking for all GTA 5 haters here: no SF and LV. That's the biggest thing I will miss. Everything else seems to be OK, I voted for the gym as I liked RPG elements in SA.

Why do you need SF and LV?

The map is going to be big enough to be fun.

Yes, but wouldn't be cool to have other city environments apart from LS?

To be honest, no.

So far nothing. As long as we have autosave why else would I care about purchasable properties because that was the only purpose they really served.

Um, you really don't realize it's all about owning lots of property and having nice houses. Nobody cares about just saving.

And I do not want an autosave unless it's just after important tasks.

Since I will barely be spending any time in the houses I don't care. What purpose do they serve other than saving and changing clothes? At least businesses produce money but what do houses do. Besides I like the idea of somebody like Trevor being a desperado on the fringes of society. It wouldn't feel right to have him living in some mansion.

Threads like these lack common sense

So why didn't your "common sense" direct you to just ignore the damn thread?

Anyway, I understand that people are disappointed about the addition of Yoga. I understand why you are. Hopefully it won't turn out to be a feature that took up space that could have been used on something more entertaining. It may turn out to be pretty fun.

Is Yoga even a playable activity? They just said that one mission you are doing yoga and the next you are in a gun fight. Maybe during the cutscene it shows Michael relaxing and trying to unwind and all of a sudden hell breaks loose. That might be what they are talking about?

Why do people hate the idea of yoga so much, but want to have the gym in the game? I agree that yoga probably won't have any substance, but if you recall the gym in San Andreas was literally just tapping square and x for 5 minutes so you character's arms have slightly more volume. Seems just as pointless as yoga.

*slow clap*

This is the only time I've ever laughed out loud on these forums. Thank you.

I think it'll be a minigame like bowling, pool, darts etc you can do anytime you like. I doubt G.I would've mentioned it in the same light as the other activities if it was only a one mission deal.

Maybe. Kind of pointless but certainly won't have a negative effect on the game. Maybe it would be a way to get health back after a rough mission. Doesn't make a world of difference whether it is there or not.

Are you trolling?

You wouldnt want to be able to purchase a farm property to grow dope and make money?

You wouldnt want to buy a warehouse property to store cars or set up a drug manufacturing facility?

You wouldnt want to purchase an property to set up a brothel and pimp bitches out for profit?

With all that money your making, you wouldnt want to be able to purchase a well deserved mansion or highrise penthouse with that hard earned cash?

That would be an awsome aspect that we will be missing out on. Buying and selling each for profit? That would contribute to a fun and vibrant economy.

I am fearful of that that fun and vibrant economy will be without those listed above.

Will have to wait and see.

Anyone who says they wouldnt miss that type of game mechanic...

Added bit: The game will still be great.

Maybe you gain those things already and you couldn't do things in past GTA games anyway. You weren't hands on with most of the businesses except for the Cherry Popper ice cream in Vice City but in San Andreas once you completed the missions you just went back and collected the money from Zero's store and the landing strip.

Once I buy a high rise or a mansion what will I do in it other than save my game and change clothes? What other purpose did all those homes in San Andreas serve?

But imagine having R* focusing their attention on 3 (or more!) cities! Each one of them as detailed as the other and with a huge contryside.

We can always wish for more; doesn't mean we are hating the game as some young folk seem to think.

I have to admit I did like the sense of ownership, but I can live without it. I did in GTA IV and I still play GTA IV to this day without thinking it would be better if I could've bought property and what not because honestly it's not that big of a deal to me.

I'd rather spend it on things like unique vehicles. Actual possessions I'll gain enjoyment from in the game itself. There's only so much self satisfaction you can gain from spending wads of cash on stagnant property, but it can add hours and hours of entertainment if you can buy things for gameplay.

˸øåíüêà: That is true, but I think GTA V is going to be taxating enough as it is. To have 3 cities all equally as detailed as eachother and a huge countryside would be quite an extraordinary feat for this gen.

Even in SA, LS always felt like the city that recieved the most amount of attention even though I liked LV the most.

To be honest there's probably a whole list of things that shouldn't be in GTA, but are. As long as people aren't forced to partake in it I don't see the issue.

That's because the houses in GTAIV sucked. Trust me when you see those beautiful homes in the rich neighborhoods of GTAV with like 2 pools and is at least 15,000 square feet large, you'll be wandering why Rockstar won't let you buy them.

No I wont. Michael already has a big and lavish home with its own tennis court and whatnot so why would I care if I can't buy one?

It really isn't that important to me atleast.

With a comment like that, it's a shame you weren't. Seriously, calm your tits, you're not going to die because the guy has a different opinion, lol

wow.gif You're so smart. Since this guy has differing views than you, he should have no right to live. Great post.

Seriously, I'm willing to bet everyone on this forum could agree that we would rather give up yoga for property buying.

If it were a choice between life or death then obviously property would be a no brainer over Yoga, but why do people consistently blame the exclusion of property on Yoga? dontgetit.gif

I mean who says the two couldn't exist? There's obviously a reason R* didn't decide to add buyable property, but it's not because of Yoga being there.

Agreed. Though I don't think he is trolling.

- This is much like when I was let down to see that not only did IV not expand on car customization, but it had removed the feature altogether. I was hoping that GTAV properties would become an even more involved and dynamic component in the game than it was in previous titles (especially IV). Property serves as more than just space. Even houses can serve as a planning HQ, interrogation/execution location, an office, black marketplace, training facility, car showroom, etc.. This is how criminal property is in real life. monocle.gif

- It's also annoying seeing people ignorantly dismissing the entire of idea of property as just an interior to walk around in. Often times, these same people defend the value of XBL gamerscores, achievements, and trophies in games. Why get points next to your ID or trophies when you could get your very own piece of property to show that you have made it? To distinguish the good GTA players from the great, why not make properties a difficult challenge to obtain this time around? Guess we'll never know now because R* has convinced most of it's blind fanboys that property can be neglected. monocle.gif

Ill tell you why, its a simple point to pick on. When someone is disappointed with something that was excluded they will often point out a useless feature. Thats my reasoning.

As for it coexisting? Sure it could. After a long day of purchasing and running buisness, Id probably use the Yoga feature lol. (its hard work stopping others from infiltrating and disrupting criminal empire)

Im in the same boat, whilst I am very disappointed this mechanic was excluded from GTA V I am still looking forward to the game.

A concept some people can not grasp. You can be disappointed in some aspects yet still be eager to play the game.

Disappointment does NOT = hate.

I don't really care about trophies either. I just want to be able to have some good anarchist fun in the game and have a great story to immerse myself in. Also who says that you won't gain properties as the game progresses. I can easily see Franklin getting better houses and cars and even Michael. Trevor is probably happy in his trailor but even he might get an air strip or some businesses. They already hinted at him dealing guns and drugs.

Not to play devils advocate but the reason why people bring up yoga in the the property argument is that EVERYONE expected and wanted property purchasing in V.

Now that we know it wont be a feature but Yoga is its hard to not ask "Why include Yoga, a useless minigame, rather than property purchases, a versatile and useful tool"

If they leave out something the fans want its only natural for people to look at the things that no one wants and ask why those features are more deserving.

If the next preview they say there are no car customizations but you can play a hopscotch mini game people will do the same thing. And rightly so IMO.
