universetwisters
Who here knows how to fight writers block? Whenever I'm in the mood to write something, my thoughts always get derailed, and I have no Idea why. How/what can I do to get my thoughts back on track so I can continue writing? It might sound dumb, but write about your other thoughts... sometimes it might actually be unconscious inspiration.
Mokrie Dela
Writing exercises Get creative Open the newspaper and find a random story (shut your eyes and pick) Write a short based on that story There's loads of exercises you can do. If you can't write your main story, write something else The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Click here to view my Poetry
GentlemanSquid
I like to write every thought I have in a notepad, anything that comes to mind. This way I can edit all the good stuff and start to piece it together. I then get another notepad and plan it out it in to a nice story, I then rewrite until I a nice outline. At that point I start the actual writing. Note that I do this for screenwriting. Edited November 15, 2012 by gta_talk

Writer's block is where your creative juices have completely run out or you are completely empty creatively. It is frustrating. "I might have laughed if I'd have remembered how."
