It didnt have any, and I tried every possibility when it comes to using different flags, but unfortunately they still appearing.

You know we will be here (I will at least) to get you started with the mods thing if you aint familiar with them yet.

 

Also, is it possible to give the new cars their own handling?

See, the modded DLC folder includes handling files but they are the same ones as the already existing ones, assigned to my new cars, (for example: the PMP600 would share the handling lines from the Buffalo, but since these lines are in a new handling file they could be edited. Still those edits wont take effect because the game seems to overlook this file after identifying its from an already existing car, and use the original handling file to read the lines).

 

Im not sure if it works this way, but it seems it does from what I know.

I wanna know if a new car can have its own handling after all.

It should be possible to do.

 

Copy the handling data ("BUFFALO" for example), make a new handling.meta and paste the data. Then rename "BUFFALO" to "PMP600", do whatever edits you want to do to it and save.

After that change "handlingId" in vehicles.meta from "BUFFALO" to "PMP600" and that should load the new handling line "PMP600".

 

If you want to reuse handling lines without modifying them, no need to even have a handling.meta in the modded DLC. Adding an existing handling name in vehicles.meta is enough.

Yeah, it does. Changed mass to 18000, made if FWD and changed "suspensionRaise" to 0.5 and named it PMP600, then changed "handlingId" in vehicles.meta to PMP600 and it worked in game.

You might have made a mistake somewhere in handling/vehicles.meta which causes crashes.

 

edit: Added another car to the game. Includes custom handling line. Haven't worked on the carcols yet, though. Would recommend. (link: https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/short-granger )

Yeah I ended up having a missing line from the file, which explains the crashes.

 

Also, I want to see more IV cars in gtavmods.com, all I see are real life cars and some sh*tty useless mods all around the site. Fixing and upgrading the old IV car mods would be sweet aswell.

Also, what do you think of modifying some already established cars? Like, 4-door Sentinel, 4-door Super GT, PMP 600 wagon and the like?

A 4 door sentinel would be sweet. Theres already a mod of a 4 door sentinel for the GTAIV model that looks really good. It would be cool to see the V version sometime in the future.

Theres a few other interesting mods in that page, like the hatchback and coupe versions of the Sultan, a convertible vigero, a 4 door comet (Panamera knockoff), a SA based Windsor, etc.

 

On a different note... god I cant wait until thundersmacker get his hands on V and start importing all the IV cars into V. Hes by far the best modder I know. Is he even active nowadays?

PS. Even though some mods on gtaall.ru seem nice, the whole site is so disattractive I want to reinstall my Glasses everytime I go there.

Does the rental bus spawn with the blue and white (Touchdown company) livery for you guys? Because I noticed that in my game it always spawns with the yellow and white one (Escalera company). The .ytd file for the vehicle comes with the 2 liveries and the respective flag is on vehicles.meta but not even with the trainer I can spawn it.

I documented this eons ago and it got ignored, the problem lies in the +hi .ytds.

The Boxville is also missing the LSDS livery inside it's +hi .ytd

so I exported them from the same file but located in \x64e and added them there and it worked, they now appear with those liveries.

One problem - there's no +hi ytd for the utility version of the Boxville. You're using the livery from the non +hi .ytd file, which has last gen lower res. textures in it.

Thats true, unfortunately. But the stock livery is the exact same quality as that one, so I personally dont mind that issue :)

 

 

 

I came. This mod and GTAV would be complete when it comes to vehicles for me.

The Faction looks pretty cool. They got rid of the ugly sectional tail lights and gave them a more Grand National style set.

Looks way better.
