Main Official GTA V Vehicle Discussion Officialness

I'm happy IV vehicles are being ported over and being given the correct HD equivalent of whatever shared interior they used in IV....but it really pisses me off how everyone who is porting over IV cars doesn't set them up as add-on/DLC cars with their own vehicles.meta and everything else. I'm not replacing sh*t.

I don't like real cars in GTA and real brands. Also, who on earth would need Brazilian police cars in Los Santos, San Andreas, United States of America?!

Converted vehicles are very good !

I have a question, some cars don't deform their body when we crash it (Panto, Surfer...), is it possible to enable the deformations ?

EDIT : Erm... what happened to the first page ? All the links are dead, and the images... And the list is from 2013 !

@voit the amount of completely useless reskins mods you can find in GTAVMods (or practically in any mods site these days) is astonishing. Turkish police liveries, portuguese flags, spanish RL brands textures for the Mule and a miriad of other sh*t mods that completely spams the site. Its incredible actually how can someone install those and think 'wow this looks good'. There should be some kind of quality filter or something, or upload all of those in one big mod and thats it.

Now, talking about the OP. Im surprised no one converted the PMP600 to V. If there is one car that fits LS is this one. I even think it fits more in LS than in LC.

That's very true. The Opening Post is in heavy need of Renovating. :)

No, it is not. The first page was relevant until GTA V came out and it was stated somewhere in this topic that it won't be updated.

@gunziness

They may be even good in quality sometimes but their problem is, they are out of place. Stating the obvious, they conflict with the in-game lore.

Another IV car joins the roster:

I'm hoping someone like Aztecas_5/JohnnyK will make an entire pack of IV vehicles converted to V with their proper HD interiors, set up with their own vehicles.meta and everything. Basically like a DLC.

They should... it's a pinned topic, we know that everybody (more or less) knows the vehicles, but this is the biggest GTA forum, and some new guys maybe are searching for infos.

Or maybe just put a link to the GTA V Vehicle wiki : http://gta.wikia.com/wiki/Vehicles_in_GTA_V

About my GTA V "cars" list, there is some trucks here. Enjoy and have a good day (or night :) ).

That is what I was thinking ^. Include all of those vehicles in a "mpivcars" along with all the files required inside (which are quite a few might I add, but Im not sure how many of those files are actually required by the game to take the mod as working DLC though).

Once the "DLC" is done, each new car that is made would be included it and added to the vehicles.rpf and the rest of the files, and so on with each new car. It would be a decently big project at the beginning, but it would be easy to update too.

Also, for the record, the only minor glitch I found in the cognoscenti are the turning and rear lights, once they are turned on, they cant be turned off.

Some pics I took:

We basically need a second OnePiece/unopieceo or JohnnyK. Either for converting his HD cars from GTA III or fixing IV/V cars.

Thundersmacker's FOUC Grinder turned into a Phoenix is defo one of my favorite car mods for IV, along with the beater Dukes and Hakumai.

What he did to the inside of that Osiris is amazing. Taking a Turismo cockpit and making it look like a Huayra's without completely copying one. But what do we have in V's Osiris? A cheap ass Banshee cockpit with orange accents. Lazy Rockstar... :dozing:

Hands down my favorite GTA V car mod so far. Cheetah as it should have been. We seriously need more car models like this.

Its absolutely beautiful, Im so installing that beauty when I get home.

Wouldnt be better if it came with the updated Grotti logo though? Considering both Stingers (which are classics) have it, it would fit nicely IMO.

I was waiting for this guy to start updating his mods to V, they are simply amazing.

Gnocchi Flip Flops

I prefer the old Grotti logo. I hate that stupid new one they have. And it makes no sense how the Stingers use it, did they forget they made a Grotti car in IV?

Thundersmacker and Algonquin Hood and his friends seemed to be the only vehicle modders worth a damn for IV. Everyone else just made real life high poly SMPA60 sh*tboxes.

I'm not sure about Thundersmacker, but Algonquin Hood's Vehicle Mods were Excellent Quality.

About the SMPA60 Errors, it was mostly a case of people saving the Cars in the Parking Spaces which cased the aforementioned problem. :)

Nevertheless, real life high poly vehicles have no place in GTA. I just mentioned the SMPA60 thing for sh*ts and giggles....not to mention the taxi bug. :^)

Each to their own.

Personally, in my GTA IV Installation, I have adopted a Hybrid Approach. Real Life Police/Emergency (and a couple Modded Vanilla Vehicles) Vehicles with Lore Friendly Liveries.

Sorry, but GTA is set in a fictional world with fictional brands. Real life vehicles have no place there. End of.

Thankfully R* made it so if your assets don't match other players, you won't be able to play MP. So 12 year olds with their high poly Veyrons and Venenos won't be able to SMPA60 everyone. IV MP was a no go on PC unless you played with friends in private games who had stock vehicles.
The guys I played with had IV artstyle vehicle mods as added (not replacing anything) vehicles, so there was no problems.
The Cheetah is beautiful, textbook execution of a car mod. Aside from the wheels on one side being more into the wheel well than the other side (common ZMOD export bug), and the doors closing on their own, but I can excuse that.
