... yeah, they clearly ruined it, thanks for proving my point with those pics. The back is the only good part because they left it alone. The front ruins everything that was good about the 300SL and those vents on the sides are just awful.

Your point is rubbish. What you want is a carbon copy of the 300SL and clearly you're not going to get it.

The Zion, there are so many things wrong with this car:

18089781604_875255b3d8_o.jpg

First off, as far as looks go, it's kind of perfect. Compared to the M6 E63 they couldn't have done a better knockoff. Too bad all of the positives end there. The interior is from a Sultan and it drives like a brick on wheels. Despite the XS badge, it's slower than an Asterope, the steering wheel is connected to the front wheels via a string, and the exhaust note is the equivalent of a vacuum cleaner.

They completely f*cked up a car that had potential. What they could've done was given it a Feltzer interior, seeing as that would fit this car perfectly, the steering from an F620, the acceleration from an F620, and the exhaust note from an F620. If they would've done those simple f*cking tasks, this would've probably been one of my favorite cars in the game. But no. It's a crappy econobox made to look like a performance coupe. It's sh*t like this that makes me wonder who's in charge of the vehicle department in this game. Did they even know what a BMW M6 was when they made this car?

Also, am I the only one that refuses to drive certain cars because they have little details or messed up interiors?

I could drive the Blista all day because I like its design, but its interior is horrifyingly bad. That steering wheel position is plain wrong.

They really implemented that feature just for the sake of having yet another "improvement" over last-gen versions. They didn't even bother looking at other racing sims. It's either I can't see the gauges behind the wheel or it literally scratches my balls. These gauges aren't even accurate, for god's sake!

I still hate what they did to Ruiner's interior.

Is it just me, or does that soft drink cup ruin the interior as well?

Luckily it's an extra so sometimes it will be in the car and sometimes it will not be in the car.

Also speaking of generic copy-paste interiors, take a look here. It's even worse than last-gen interiors that were also copy-pasted for the most part but at least still had some variety in them.

Yup but not surprising. They ditched the interiors of the Voodoo, Rapid GT Cabrio, and Infernus too. You'd think they would've put more variety into the interiors seeing as FPV finally exists but nope, they narrowed down the variety. f*ck logic, right?

I wish Zion didn't exist. It's almost a copy of Sentinel anyway.

Yeah it's basically just a Sentinel with better styling seeing as they didn't bother with it's performance. Remember the Sentinel from IV. That thing was a monster. What happened?

Interior Models, or Full Vehicle Models?

Full model. Like Lampadati Casco, with its misspelled rear right indicator. It can be viewed in OpenIV, but if I replace the regular model with it, the game refuses to spawn it.

Anybody else think the back of the Casco ruins the whole car? I've had a love affair with the Maserati 3500GT ever since I started watching Chasing Classic Cars and played TDU1 for the first time, but I can't help but feel this game butchered it. It looks so beautiful from the front and side, especially in a wine red color, but then it get hideous starting from the rear half. It goes from curvy to boxy, American, and just weird. It sort of reminds me of the Corvair but worse. What is up with the tail lamps and those awful pillars on the rear window? It looks horrible. It looks like one team designed the front half and another designed the rear half and then they hastily pieced them together. Team one knew what they were doing and Team 2 were focused on something else ad too busy drinking whiskey, wondering what the result of designing a car whilst on acid would look like.

Overrated car and completed trumped by the new Stirling GT in my honest opinion.

To me, it looks like an Aston Martin rather than Maserati...

I think it looks a little similar to the JB700 but in truth it is a Volvo P1800/Maserati 3500 GT mix. I don't know what the rear is though, perhaps something Rockstar pulled out their ass?

Speaking of the Casco, why would anyone make a roof an extra? It doesn't make much sense to make a convertible with window frames still on.

So I was driving a pearl white Rapid GT Roadster this morning and loved it. It is somewhat reminiscent of the Carbonizzare but better, somehow. Both are exceptional cars - even though the Rapid GT is the one that should've been named the Carbonizzare and the Carbonizzare should've been named something else seeing as it should be aluminum-bodied - and being open-topped roadsters, they're the epitome of grand tourers in this game to be completely honest with you.

But somewhere down the line I began to wonder what it would be like to drive the Rapid GT Coupe. The Carbonizzare, of course, only has one variant as it from afar with it's top up could fool you for being a hardtop coupe even though it is a full operational convertible. So I spawned a Rapid GT via cheat codes and in short, it was disappointing. Now I will say this, there are only two differences between those beguiling Rapid GTs other than the fact that one is a hardtop and one is a drop top:

  • Those carbon fiber accents on the Roadster are covered in a weird glossy coating that makes them appear as chrome from afar. I love that. The Coupe only has regular carbon fiber accents covered in regular gloss and I don't mind that.
  • The cockpit...

Now the cockpit is what really bugs me. I know on current-gen they share the same bullsh*t rehashed Obey 9F cockpit as every other sports car and that sucks ass, but on last-gen the Rapid GT Roadster contains this beauty:

0_0.jpg

Straight out of a Super GT (IV) but resized to fit the smaller body. It screams Aston without being a carbon copy, mixing a Vantage cockpit with an old Vanquish S cockpit. The result was perfect, just look at those speaker grills! It's got a manual gearbox even though it has gear selector buttons right below the pop-up display but quirks like that are completely irrelevant. Great right? So why does the Coupe use this crap:

0_0.jpg

You saw that, right? Things I want to know:

  • Why would they reuse a 9F cockpit on the Coupe when they had already reused one from a Super GT (IV) on the Roadster - which presumably was the first one to be designed seeing as it was one of the first cars featured in the first GTA V trailer back in 2011?
  • Who oversaw this and how?

Now I may be coming off as a pretentious nit-picky little sod, but this sh*t annoys the crud out of me. I adore the cockpit in the Rapid GT Roadster and Super GT (IV) and no other car uses it. It was completely unique, but why the Rapid GT Roadster is the only Dewbauchee that uses it in V is beyond me. The Massacro also reuses the 9F cockpit and, you guessed it, so does that genuinely atrocious Exemplar. And as if they just didn't give a f*ck, they scrapped the Rapid GT's cockpit on current-gen and simply reused the 9F cockpit. They knew what they were doing.

I don't know why it bugs me but it does. All that's on my mind whenever I drive a Rapid GT Coupe or a Massacro is why they didn't just use the Rapid GT Roadster's cockpit. FPV isn't a thing on last-gen, obviously, but- to me the cockpit still matters. I realize the Schafter's cockpit from IV is also one of Rockstar's favorite cockpits to reuse constantly on luxury cars (the f*cking Carbonizzare uses it but I don't mind because they made a few changes to match the Ferrari vibe accordingly) as well as the Sentinel's cockpit on affordable sports cars, and the Sabre GT's on just about anything classic. Those don't bug me as much (except for the cockpits they scrapped such as the Voodoo and the Ruiner).

They need to revamp their vehicle department, little details such as this should not be overlooked. It really makes me wonder what kind of dorks work there.

I really am loving the Rapid GT Roadster though, if you haven't taken the time out to drive it, do it. It's an excellent car.

If there are Full Models in the files, that would help explain why the game is so Bloated in terms of Total File Size. :)

Am I the only one who noticed these liveries missing on next gen V?

They're not present in any of the .ytds either, unlike the blank livery for the Rumpo.
(if they show up as thumbnails, open them in new windows)

:dozing: Well, here it is:

actual_1435673104.jpg

Dinka Vindicator (Another boring Honda bike)

actual_1435673075.jpg

Vapid Chino (At least it's completely new unlike the Virgo, still bores me though)

actual_1435672761.jpg

Progen T20 (Another hypercar! *sigh* A new brand? Surprisingly, but I'm quite sure the cockpit will still be a simple copy and paste of the Banshee's)

actual_1435672964.jpg

Invetro Coquette BlackFin (The only car worth getting excited for)

actual_1435672910.jpg

Lampadati Toro (I thought we already got a stupid Italian boat?)

actual_1435672873.jpg

Coil Brawler (A super car will still outperform it on a mountain I'm sure)

So yeah, that's the update. No Part III is coming, this is it. I have to say, I'm massively disappointed. I was expected some variety but nope, we got another super car, another low rider, another classic, and then a crappy boat, an awkward bike, and an off-roader that probably won't even outperform an Infernus on the trails.

I was expecting a new coupe or something different, perhaps an Obey or an Ubermacht or a Pfister but nope. I hope y'all like the pack because I sure don't.

I was hoping for a Pfister as well and we got just handful of weird vehicles I wouldn't even think they exist.

It's like those Vehicles came from a Mad Mans Dream.

The new Progen T20 looks nice, though I prefer the front of the Osiris, maybe the back looks better. Other than that the only other vehicle that seems interesting is the Coil Brawler which looks like a good off road car.

But I like the fact that R* added a bit of variety into this update instead of more gold vehicles.

Just noticed that Progen is a new manufacturer which might have been cut from the final game. The logo was found in the game files a year ago already: 3dHDiTn.png
