I just noticed they said "improved damage models". Does that mean what I think it means?

I took that as "more destructible environments". I'm not getting my hopes up, but maybe they'll surprise me.

And although I like the idea of the new update including classics like the Glendale, I'm sure they'll be just as boring and ridiculously quick handling as the other classics in the game already.

Well, at least we get to see a HD Glendale/Blade AND are able to mod it to IV.

You get the Elegy RH8 by connecting your account to the Rockstar Games Social Club and the Khamelion is online only.

Don't forget about modding V to have IV's handling.

People already started doing that on consoles, so doing it on the PC version will be a piece of cake.

Also, some of you may remember the unused police scanner files I dug up. I got them to convert properly, and found that Tampa and Sabre (not GT) are also mentioned there. One another bizarre file is "TR3" - which is just the internal name of one of the towable trailers. They must have simply given that actress the handling files to read out.

Great, fantastic, cut even more cars out to replace them with poorly done plastic crap. Eh.

Gnocchi Flip Flops

Why couldn't they make the Tailgater look like a sexier S6 C7 instead of some out of proportion mess based off of the C5? I mean this looks so much better:

You know what would've been awesome? If we could tint or windows with that blue/green-ish tone all windows had in VCS. And talking about it, this would be nice too.

Felon's interior looks pretty damn fine revamped. Maybe they'll pay slightly more attention this time.

Speaking of looking through textures, I took a look through Taxi's texture. Why is there that graphical error with the badge? Simple, while it's changed to "Taxi Cab", the normal map is reused from the Police Cruiser... which is why the writing appears embossed under the proper text. Hope they fix that too.

I hope that improved damage also means improved scratches. R* nailed them in IV, an appropriate size and location; but in V, scratches are ugly. They not only have really low res textures (which at least I know is going to be on the new version), but are much bigger than they should be and feel really artificial. And also talking about NG, I wonder if only the RPM gauge moves, or if the speedometer also moves. And even more important, if they move realistically, or if it's random.

It really is amazing how they managed to dumb down every single little detail, even scratches, in V.

It will be easy to fix the driving on PC, but harder to properly fix the damage, because it's clearly more than just decreasing the required impact value. Hopefully R* really will fix it themselves, because mods probably wouldn't work out as well as it was in IV.

I like the Mesa Grande (merryweather version) cause it looks like a proper off roader, plus it's great for roleplays.

I just wonder why they'd make it PC/NG exclusive, it can't be that hardware taxing, can it? Unless it's coming in an update.

Holy cow, I'm Not a Hipster update just came out with no announcement.

Vulcar fully confirmed to be a Volvo analogue now, as it's stated to be a Swedish brand.

And here's my Mirthmobile already:

The appearance of Rhapsody gives me hope, they might add more old cars in unchanged form. Don't know what to think about Glendale, it's nothing like the SA counterpart but can't go wrong with old Mercedeses.

The Glendale i think is a good car, nice old merc finally and um it has something called suspension.

EDIT: They all drive pretty well, they also have different characteristics from each other and vehicle sounds, even up to closing the door, i think rockstar are starting to think again.

P.S the pigalle is a very nice vehicle to drive, not like any other in the game.

Rhapsody, not much difference

Blade seems to higher than it should be, but its nice

Glendale, surprisingly its Benefactor!

Panto, however is comparable to Emu from Saints Row. A little similar to Mitsubishi i.

Dubsta, I see Top Gear right there!

Pigalle, not much to say. Its excellent!

Warrener, I dont know why a KPG Skyline is made by Vulcar?

You're telling me they wised up and gave cars suspensions again? Now I really have to get my game back from my friend that borrowed it...

I like how they accidentally left the white walls from the Rhapsody in V, even though they didn't with the Emperor/Manana/Peyote, which are also all direct conversions. It's appearance also makes me hopeful, since it means more cars from IV can return.

The Glendale is amazing, it has got an awesome engine noise when stopped, the only thing I dislike about it is the headlights being too yellow. Although I think it should have been named Admiral, while keeping the Glendale name for the, well, Glendale. The rims also look great, and it's a shame that you need to replace them to get white walls (though there are some pretty similar lowrider rims). And talking about lowriders, it almost looks like one when fully lowered. It's also the first car in the game to include trunk customization, and appear to include a nod to SA, having the possibility of painting the hood/trunk in a different color, which was on many beaters on that game (which seems to have been the inspiration for this update, at least on the car part). I also like how you can choose between different kinds of baggage to put on the roof.

The Blade also looks great. Not as good as SA, but great. The only thing I dislike is the suspension on the front, since it looks like it always with the suspension lifted. But nothing a quick trip to LSC can't solve. Looks like a real lowrider, now all we need is hydraulics. Taking notes, R*? If your putting neon in the NG version, then consider this.

The Pigalle looks amazing. It also has a very interesting detail, an European license plate which can't be changed on LSC (though you can change the numbers using the app/save editor). The sound effects aren't that interesting, though. And for some reason, it has a rusty hood customization option.

The Warrener looks nice. I wish the front was more square, and I'm not a fan of the mirror placement, but it's nice. And holy sh*t, now that's some customization. It looks like a real Demolition Derby car when properly customized. It has also got an exhaust option similar to the Ruiner, the long one that goes upwards. Fun fact, this car actually looks like what the Panto would look, had it made into GTA III. The rear reminds me a lot of the VC Admiral.

The Panto is surprisingly fast, and God, it's so tiny. The customization options are hilarious, you can carbon fiber or stickerbomb almost the whole car, and it's got some options like drifting spoilers, sports skirts, off road fenders, a baggage carrier with lots of bags and a tire, a roll cage, and more. I don't know about the Smart irl, but this doesn't seem to be a fully electric car, since it blows up when on fire. Unfortunately, the default radio station isn't Radio Mirror Park.

The Dubsta 6x6 is a beast. It looks great, and completely destroyed Mt Chiliad, I didn't even have to take the routes. Goodbye, Sandking. It also sliced traffic like butter.

The interior of most of those cars seem to be new, or at least modified (though some new interiors are shared). They also drive differently from the others, and actually have suspension. The gold paint is tacky, but not as much as I expected, and also surprised with the presence of a normal and brushed variant. The tire smokes, this time, really look how they were supposed to. The new window tint is a bit useless, I'd choose a green/red/blue/VCS-style window tint any day, but I'm not complaining.

PowerKracker

It's perplexingly reversed - the TLAD Rhapsody had no white walls.

It's so jarring. Even the Tow Truck, which had faded white walls in TLAD doesn't have them in V.
