Don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but when you get into a car it says what it is too. In gameplay is it said "Cheval Fugitive, Sedans" kind of weird looking I think.

I thought so too, a rather odd design choice.

I noticed there are two normal citybuses running about too, one is blue and white, the other is the red and white.

, just watched an hour of gameplay on a live stream that got shut down... Good thing it did, my brain was about to explode from awesome! After watching it, I know I won't have to worry about the car handling anymore. Its appropriate and more refined than IV. The sports cars stick to the road while old sedans and coupes have a heavier flow and rocking on the suspension when [trying] to corner hard.

I'm on a live stream now, the car reflections.. Absolutely beautiful, they were reflecting cars going by and at night the headlight coronas. Very good looking.

Well technally we still dont know that Truck is in the leaked list But the page was taking from a bad angle so Theirs no name yet ...

Right, but it depends on what kind of car you are in. The Cheetah will stick to the road better than the Emperor. It looks like Dump trucks and Semi trucks will handle just as they did in IV.

Right, but it depends on what kind of car you are in. The Cheetah will stick to the road better than the Emperor. It looks like Dump trucks and Semi trucks will handle just as they did in IV.

I saw a van (burrito I think), it handled very loose and bulky in comparison to how the 9F or Buffalo handled.

The damage looks like Driver San Francisco...

 

I swear to god if the handling and damage are as bad as they look... I'll f*cking burn my copy. Seriously, 90% of the replayability is driving for me.

The damage is still as dynamic as IV, it's just not as ridiculous and exaggerated. But trust me you mangle those cars up.

And the handling is extremely varied, it's only the high end sports cars (9F, Cheetah, Coquette etc) that have the arcade handling and even at that they still ain't that perfect.

Damage was NOT exaggerated in IV. In fact, it was not even realistic. Sure, it was a huge step up from SA and the best anyone could possibly ask for in such a massive game, but real damage is like BeamNG's soft body physics. I wasn't expecting that, but at least the same as IV's damage.

 

Now, the cars just bounce of each other and send off sparks with a slightly dented bumper and some lame scratches. Seriously, it even looks more dumbed down than the III era.

 

I know sports cars will handle better, but they were close to perfect in IV to begin with, What I've seen is closer to MCLA and Driver.

 

I'll reserve my judgement on handling until I play, but the damage looks terrible and I'm worried.

Damage was NOT exaggerated in IV. In fact, it was not even realistic. Sure, it was a huge step up from SA and the best anyone could possibly ask for in such a massive game, but real damage is like BeamNG's soft body physics. I wasn't expecting that, but at least the same as IV's damage.

The damage is fine, I've been on streams all day.

They don't bounce off, I saw tons off car to car collisions that stopped both cars dead in their tracks. And like I said the damage is all still dynamic, I've seen scrapes, small dents, big dents, bent wheels, parts getting ripped off. Just like IV, the damage will change based on where got hit and how hard. In no way is it anything like Driver where all the damage is preset and looks the same. Trust me you have nothing to worry about.

I took the liberty of adding cars you've forgotten and removed the Romero since it's in the game. 42 cars are lacking. And that's not even all, don't forget the motorcycles too... TLAD had too many for its play time and GTA V has none.

I think you can scratch most of the cars of your list. They wont be ingame.

That would be a big shame. I cannot see them choosing the Intruder over the PMP600 or the Premier over a Stallion, Blista, Presidente...doesn't make sense. Less variety and less mitic names (we have a few back, like Stinger and Elegy, but then, this happens) so I hope some of them at least are not gone...I will enjoy the game a lot, but with some of them back, even more.

There are 4 normal buses: the blue, the red, the orange and one green and yellow (last one is the Airport bus). All of them traveling with people inside and stoping in the bus stations.

Same here. I dont know why they added the Stinger and Stinger GT. Perhaps due to the amount of classics cars in Los Angeles I dont know. So far we have only seen one Chrysler/Schyster and that is the Cross fire look a like. If that was to be the only one I feel so bad. Same goes for the Blista Compact, Willard and Marbelle. I dont see a good reason for them to be left out. Perhaps it felt to the designers that they were not having that Los Santos vibe. The PMP600 however is a true gangster car. And with the Ballas and Orange Grove Families represented, It would be the perfect car.

I totally agree.

Why the hell do we need 2 9F's? and 2 Sentinel's? That's wasted space for cars like the PMP600 or the Dukes. I feel like so many cars should have been brought over but were dropped for ungodly stupid reasons.

The biggest peeve in my opinion is that there aren't cars from the 80's and 90's in the ghettos like the Willard, Hakumai, Sabre... But there are plenty of Vintage Cruisers like the Tornado, Peyote and Manana's in the streets.

 

I mean, I'm no expert in the matter, but I've street Viewed LA in anticipation and let's just say that there's a slight difference in that respect.... Yeah.

im fine with them adding the manufacture to the car name, but not the category... that looks rediculous

 

Bravado Banshee, Sports

Obey 9F, Super

Police Cruiser, Emergency

Decalsse Rancher XL, Offroad

 

it just doesnt look right. As for damage physics, dont tell me they are on par with GTA IV, or even realistic. I've seen video of a guy going full speed and hitting a wall dead on... the only damage? hood popped up and paint was scratched. I'm not saying the damage physics are god awful, but they just dont meet my expectations. sure they added fenders being ripped off but lets be honest - in real life, cars ARE pretty fragile after about 15-20 MPH.

 

as for the lack of 80's cars - i honestly dont care. i dont live in LA (though still in california) nor do i live near a ghetto, but i almost never see a car from pre-2000's except for your run-of-the-mill camry type cars. There are some cars missing from the strategy guide pics and from gameplay thus far, so just sit and wait. I highly doubt they'd remove the F620 due to its advertisement throughout the trailers/screens, nor the Stallion thats been an iconic car
