Isn't the Coil Voltic partly designed after the Tesla Roadster and a play on words based off Nikola Tesla's famous discovery of the 'Tesla Coil'?

 

The wheels bear a pretty striking resemblance.

On one hand, that would be awesome, but then we might not get the Dart based Tampa which I loved.

 

Well if they get the Corsair right this time (REAR ENGINE DAMN IT!) hell why not make the Corviar a diffrent named car for the hell of it. The Regal based car was the Faction in IV. (Granted it was more of a T-Type with GN influence than a plain ol Regal like the Majestic in SA)

Did you not read my post? The Cheetah was shown way before the LaFerrari came out. To base it on the LaFerrari R* needed a time machine. Any similarities are accidental.

I'm wondering if there were any concepts from before the LaFerrari that R* might have used as inspiration. Because it definitely does look more modern than an Enzo.

 

And they used that Veyron Super Sport concept for the Bugatti clone...

Well granted the new Dart is Alfa Romero based. I'd like to see the Focus as well, don't know about the CTS Wagon, since Station Wagons aren't much popular in America now/

 

At least we've got confirmation of new Imponte & Annis cruisers? Nissan Cube, anyone? Anyone?

They just mixed up a whole lot of cars in the Cheetah. It isn't recognizabble as an Enzo or an Agera that much to me at all. And the final product just has an accidental similarity to the LaFerrari. All the LaFerrari concepts were 'unveiled' after the LaFerrari was unveiled. They did have design concepts for the LaFerrari but they were not shown to the public, and they don't look like the Cheetah in GTA. Here is a gallery of those concepts:

They might have been inspired by Ferrari's MilleChile concept from a few years ago. It was key inspiration for LaFerrari.

it's the schafter on the list but from a different angle, here's another angle.

I don't think it looks like a Schafter. Looks like a heavily tuned Sentinel or something we haven't seen yet.

Here is a new helicopter on the right. It looks kind of like the buzzard, but different. Note the machine gun/camera on the front and the landing gear is different.

 

The buzzard is different, which looks like a little bird.:

One has rounded landing gear, the other has straight landing gear with something in the middle.

Sorry to burst your theory, but you are mistaken.

They are both the Buzzard, both just one helicopter.

 

The reason that you may think they appear to look different is due to the angle at which they appear. In the last image, you can't see the camera on the front of it because it is not as tilted as the one on the right. the legs are also the same, again, due to the angle at which the image was taken it may appear that they are different... but they're not.

Agree. It definitely looks like the Elise, Exige and the Hennessy Venon too, but the Coil name seems like a big hint that it's electric. It seems to fit in with the LA vibe of saving the environment. Plus there is another electric car - the Khamelion.

So after reading Aaron Garbuts interview one thing strikes me. They looked at demographic data about what cars people were driving in California. (Los Santos). The Chevy Impala is one of the most populair cars, same with the 300C. And we have not seen both of them. Kinda odd.

There was also a scale model the students created initially that had the form of the LaFerrari, but I couldnt find it on Google. I saw it in an old Autocar article at the time. It had the LaFerrari style black canopy effect for the glasshouse.

The LaFerrari was unveiled on 5 March 2013. The GTA V Cheetah was first seen on 20 August 2012. Explain to me: what type of time travel machine R* used to base it on the LaFerrari? And your picture is way oversized. Please remove it.

Actually, if you look at the first few pictures of the Cheetah and then how it looks now, the cheetah has changed a lot. I used to look a lot more Enzo inspired. Now it does indeed have the shape of the LaFerrari.

You're full of poop. The Cheetah did not change. Did you not look at the August screens and then the Second trailer in which the Cheetah was seen again? Be more observant, the Cheetah never changed.

Oh, it did. It just didn't change as much as I thought it did. They removed vents on the hood of the car. I thought I saw other changes in the online trailer, but I'm mistaken.

Yeah that hyped me up reading that. Who knows about the Merit and PMP-600 though. I have a feeling the traffic in the trailers have been messed with by Rockstar to keep some unrevealed cars hidden or show off some new things. I'm sure that the traffic will feel more natural, diverse, and realistic when we play the game. I hope the PMP-600 is going to be all over the place. By R* going by demographic data Aston Martins, Koenigseggs, Bugattis, et cetera should be super rare. I hope the Willard is less rare though.
