The FF is like the ugliest Ferrari ever made really, after the beautiful 612, how can they screw up a car design so badly? It's hideous!

The FF is a good looking vehicle for a shooting brake. Honestly, the 612 isn't all that, it's kind of plain.

 

But Ferrari's are casual supercars anyway. Give me a Gumpert Apollo or a Zonda anyday over a Ferrari. I prefer the small Boutique supercars.

An Apollo would be amazing but it's too unknown to get in probably.

 

I think what GTA could is some more middle-end cars. There's lots of crappy old cars, crappy new cars, supercars, and other various types of vehicles (pickup, semis, etc) but not many middle-end sportscars. I mean stuff like the Hakumai.

 

So, basically, what I want is more JDM, dammit! And the good stuff like the Skyline and NSX!

 

Oh, and some high-end sportcars like a Jaguar XKR--not quite a supercar, but better than most.

No offense but that was the dumbest comparison including the F12 Berlinetta that I've ever read.

You've probably never seen an F12 Berlinetta in person. Until you see one in person, I doubt you can really say that it looks like some Hyundai -- and Hyundai's aren't really that bad today either.

They both have arbitrary lines and shapes that serve no visual purpose, for the sake of being more complex. As a whole they're overwrought and seeing them in person would only confirm that.

I guess that's your opinion but how is that bad? We could go back to the horrid days when cars looked so bland.

Edit: Make sure you know what you're talking about too. Many of the F12 Berlinetta's lines serve purpose. See those black inlets in the front? They cool the brakes. Watch this video thoroughly and you'll see that some of these "irrelevant lines" -- oh the ignorance -- do serve a purpose.

I really hope the final version of the BF Injection doesn't end up looking like that. The BFI is a high dollar rich man's Jeep and shouldn't lose the look it has always had IMO.

you know i see more 69 chevy nova and 66 gto in unnamed muscle car3. also its bit hard to make out

but i can clearly see a flat bed on the old banger 54 dodge power wagon in that 2nd shot shown at the trailer park.

maybe its the new style walton truck witch also had a flat bed on it and was an old rusty early 50s chevy p/u. heres some pics to tell the difference really it dosent look nothing like a 64 gto and 65 buick riviera too me.

also notice that the vertical head lights are stacked up like on the 65 to 67 Pontiac gtos. wile the 64, 68, and 69 gtos had them horizontal and normal looking. also the body seems to be very curvy like the 66 gto but with the 69 novas curves mixed in. but the 64 gtos body curves are flat and square and the 65 buicks is also flat and square but a little bit curvy.

Yes it is! Was also one of my favorites in the GTA franchise. I can't wait to make a replica of it in GTAV, complete with racing slicks and rollcage!

Some cars may have been bland in the '80s-'90s but at least they had attractive proportions and weren't covered in pointless lines.

 

And ease off the high horse there because you don't seem to know what I was talking about. The brake vents are not at all what I was referring to. I could care less if that hole in the quarter panel gives it a tiny amount of extra downforce that will make no realistic difference unless you're on a track. I'd rather have a car designed to look good, like every classic sports car. I'm talking about the surfacing and proportions.

 

Take the Viper, every line exudes character and serves a visual purpose, building up to those big rear haunches. It bulges with muscle, whereas the F12 just looks like a bloated chick with bad plastic surgery.

 

By contrast, with the new Vette, Chevy went from a clean design with great proportions (C6) to a derivative copycat of every other modern sports car with overwrought surfacing. They're just catering to the "Transformer generation" that wants pointless complexity because it's "cool" at the expense of basic aesthetics. This has been a trend on a lot of modern cars, but the worst offenders have been the Japanese/Koreans. The Genesis you posted is a good example of a pathetic attempt at being edgy and cool. Or how about the 370Z with those kinks in the headlights that serve no purpose whatsoever? I could go on forever, but the gaming crowd IS the Transformer generation so I shouldn't expect refined taste here, especially when half of the people here want to go back to SA's handling.

I see what you're talking about but I disagree. It's just designs that makes the car look unique or better.
