It is exclusive actually, just take a look at the info R* posted about the collectors edition where it states that both it and the hot knife will only be obtainable thought the collectors edition.

By "early access" I guess he's meaning that you will get it early on in the game as R* said that when you start the game you will automatically receive a garage with these two vehicles stored in it.

No, he means exactly what he said, which is that you will have EARLY access to it. It will still be in the standard game, but you'll have to either steal it or buy it.

Either way we really have no confirmation either way, but objectively given the history of these kinds of things I'll have to say that the people who think it's simply an early access seems to be wishful thinking.

Nah, it's early access. if it was exclusive, it would have said it in the description, something like "Exclusive access to the Hotknife and carbon rs bike." Much like the "exclusive New Era snapback..." Early access is intentionally left out, that would sway a lot of people away from buying the CE or SE. Im not trying to sound like a jerk but I could actually follow the history of how these things work too, and I see it as a lot of people trying to justify the price of the CE. I see a lot of butthurt people coming out after they realize it was indeed early access.

Yea they may not sate as such that they are exclusive by using the words exclusive to collectors edition but read the way they have worded it.

The biggest give away to it would be the title they gave that paragraph "unique vehicles and garage and garage property" they later go on to describe them as custom vehicles as well

R* said that with the collector's edition, you'll INSTANTLY receive a garage stocked with the Hotknife and Carbon RS. And they said "a garage to store custom vehicles", not that the Hotknife and Carbon RS are custom vehicles.

I believe that you guys are right, and that the Hotknife and Carbon RS will be eventually available in the regular game - but boy, does that sound like a ripoff for people who buy the collectors edition.

 

However, I think that the blimp is probably pre-order exclusive (at least until it appears in a DLC or something).

That's why I believe the Hot Knife and the Carbon RS aren't going to be in the base game. Early access to DLC that will be available to the rest of us at some point. That's the way I see it. There is no way, that car and bike are in the base game. It's only wishful thinking, and it's stupid at that.

But in all seriousness, I've written it the way I have because I'm quite certain that the Hotknife and the CarbonRS will be made available to everyone at some point, or actually be unlockable/purchasable/acquirable late in the game.

 

I base this mainly on how the specifications for the Collector's Edition are worded. For example, it states that you get an exclusive SteelBook, exclusive Blueprint Map and an exclusive cap, but you'll notice that the word exclusive does not appear anywhere in the Digital Content section.

 

In stead they use words like 'bonus', 'special', 'custom' and 'unique' - the latter actually being a synonym of exclusive, but the meaning depends on the definition, really. They could just have used other words to mix it up a bit and make it a bit less dreary to read, but it still makes you wonder.

 

Furthermore, they write:

 

 

Players will instantly receive a garage to store custom vehicles. In single player, the garage will be stocked with the 1930's style Hotknife hotrod and the CarbonRS sports bike. In Grandt Theft Auto Online, players will get the high-end Khamelion electric car.

The fact that they used the word 'instantly' in this connection could mean two things; either that you can unlock/aquire the garage later with the regular version, or that you can unlock/aquire the garage and the vehicles later.

 

The way I see it, they've worded it in a fashion that's not as clear as it could have been - on purpose. Not to fool their customers, you're still getting loads of nice, exclusive merchandise which is well worth the extra cost I think, but to safely be able to roll out the digital content as DLC down the line.

 

I might just be reading too much into it, but this is my standpoint for now, anyways.

The thing with this is, when you go to pre-order the game anywhere, it says a code for the blimp will be packed in the case. Normally, with pre-order exclusives it will come printed on the receipt when you pick up your pre-order. Since it is packed in the case, it means it will come with every NEW copy of the game, pre-order and after release.

No, that's definitely not an Akuma. The PCJ is the one with the colored wheels. Also, the Akuma has that carbon thing under it, the PCJ not. The PCJ is also thinner, and the exhausts are more distant from the wheels.

Just looking at it now, I think it's the Vader. In TBoGT, they had similar color design to the green and black bike there. Look

It was actually mentioned by JoeM a while ago, I just haven't added it yet because I'm lazy.

This is quite accurate I reckon, and I'll add it to the thread now. It will be kinda like having two Winnebagos in the database, though, as most of these RV conversions are Winnebago Itasca Sundancers.

if only rockstar would reply to my multiple mouthoff emails. ill only buy the collectors edition if the cars ARE exclusive (yes im dumb enough to spend the extra $70 just for 3 vehicles).... if theyre just early access and the cars are in-game for everyone, hell yeah im going to save that $70 and go with special edition.

 

but of course, rockstar wont answer the question.... theyre preying on people like me who will pay the extra thinking content is exclusive.

Looks like Rockstar bought a new front bumper in the gameplay, because the original Sentinel XS of GTA V doesn't have this Sentinel Tuning Division in the front of it...

Right so this whole exclusive hot knife and bike thing got me thinking, so I decided to go back and look the newswire from when the ce was announced. And of course many people where asking the same thing below is the general reply that R* seem to be giving out about the whole thing

Currently, the only way to guarantee access to the digital content from the Collector’s Edition or Special Edition of the game is to pre-order or purchase those specific versions.

So there not really giving anything away here but I would say azazel is right as if they where exclusive to the ce then they would of just said so instead of that paragraph of nonsense.
