Yeah, I can spot some differences in details. Besides, the 9F looks a lot like the real R8 with few changes so they can make this one closer too.

We're not talking similarities here, though. The car in the artwork is completely identical to an Audi A5, and thus cannot be an in-game car. Even if the rear was completely different, the mere fact that the headlight is an exact copy of the Audi Dayline LED headlight on the A5, would be enough to flag it for copyright infringement.

Don't quote pictures. Please edit your post. Answer to your question: everything, even the rear lights are exactly the same, which you can't see on the picture.

Unnamed sedan 3 has some similarities to the 2013 Ford Taurus.

Sorry Az, but I agree with Stingray. We can only see so much of the car, and only the very corner of the headlight. The roofline looks different to me, and for all we know, the taillights could be from a MB or BMW.

The roofline just looks different because of the angle. It's difficult finding a picture of a red A5 from the exact same angle, but I got pretty close:

 

 

I was going to list all the similarities, but there's literally tonnes, the two cars being completely identical and all, so I want you guys to point out the differences. I'll start you off with the fact, that the chrome trim is red'ish, so is the little lip around the windshield, and the regular black plastic part of the wing mirror is colored in, too. The normally soft body line at the bottom of the door is a bit more angular - artistic license, I guess. The car in my picture has some larger rims on it, but the one in the artwork has the default Audi ones, as already pointed out. That's it. Everything else is the same down to the millimeter.

See how the artist did the exact same darker spot in the reflex?

 

 

And there are many examples of cars that were damn near replicas of the real deal. Although this would be the newest one, and therefore the most likely to get them into trouble, but I doubt Audi really cares that much.

Not like this there isn't. If you can find a car from IV, or any other GTA game for that sake, that is as identical to their real life counterparts as this, I'll put up a shrine for you in the main post.

 

 

Edit: Also, the artist's interpretation could be making it look closer to the real thing than it actually is. For example, the police car in the artworks looks more like a Crown Vic than the one in the game.

It's possible, but beside the point. There might be a car in the game based on an A5, but that's not what this is about, really - it's what the car in the artwork is based on.

 

The artist was looking at a picture of a real life, red Audi A5 when he drew that.

OK lets see, NSX and Infernus are quite different.

 

Front bumper not same, headlights no, side mirrors no, wheels no, side vents no, spoiler no, fuel filler cap no, door handle no, rear bumper no...

 

Rear lights no, notice how it continues the full width of the NSX but in the game its separated by the licence plate.

Sure the NSX has some different details, just like the comparison pic you posted. And the San Andreas Infernus comparison is the complete car, not a part of it like the Lamar picture. Every other part on the Lamar car that we haven't seen yet, which is like 60 percent of the car, could be different to the A5.

I did. But I read over the part where you said the rims on the other picture were not the standard A5 ones. So I am corrected on that.

 

The San Andreas Infernus comparison is the complete car, not a part of it like the Lamar picture. Every other part on the Lamar car that we haven't seen yet, which is like 60 percent of the car, could be different to the A5.

This still remains though.

It's not like the car is a replica of the real model. There are a few differences on the side profile and like I said earlier, the front and rear fascias could resemble other German models. I can't see anybody suing R* for this and that sounds a bit silly to me as I don't think it's happened before.

And this is not a speculation thread its a thread for confirmed vehicle, so we can not add vehicles as confirmed based on coulds or mights as in "60% of the car could be different to the A5." - implying it MIGHT be unique enough to be featured GTA V.

As I already said, I am corrected on the rims. I guess I'm also corrected on the black mirror part, but as azazel himself pointed out, there is more black trim that is made red than just the mirror. I agree with the fact that what we've seen is a near replica of an A5 with negligible differences from the real model. I still think though, that seeing every part of the car that has not been seen could be different, it would not have to end up even as close to the A5 as the Infernus model in San Andreas is to the NSX.

I already said an A5 or artwork car based coupe in the game is probable. I also said we won't see the car from the artwork in the game. The reason for me saying that is the details on the artwork car are identical to the real life car.

 

What I'm saying is that its not possible legally, for the artwork car to be in the game unless Take two bought rights from Audi which is highly unlikely.

 

All that may be speculation but we don't confirm or rule out cars in this thread based on that speculation. Speculate all you want but until we see it in screenshots, trailers or gameplay videos we can't confirm it. Considering artwork cars is still speculation in my opinion.

OT: Since no one is interested in the F620 convertible type that I spotted, I've found another vehicle in the background 4-way junction in Franklin's trailer at 0:59 - 1:00 that looks like a hatchback.. maybe new?

Going through Franklin's trailer again, I've spotted a white convertible which looks like a F620.. Could someone do the honors and post a pic please? It is spotted next to the grey Cavalcade at 0:34.

Sorry, but because of the bulky wheel arches the convertible looks more like the Banshee to me.

 

And due to the wide body of the SUV it certainly looks more like the Patriot than the G-Class look-a-like.

Sorry, but because of the bulky wheel arches the convertible looks more like the Banshee to me.

 

And due to the wide body of the SUV it certainly looks more like the Patriot than the G-Class look-a-like.

You can clearly make out the taillights of the convertible and its exactly like an f620
