Entry #19 under "New Cars" is the exact same car as entry #17, the "Tesla Roadster/Lotus Elise".

 

Here's my proof:

 

 

Same roof. Same rims. Same mirror placement. Same side skirting/scoop. Same EVERYTHING.

 

The proof is in the pudding. And the blue car, by absolutely no means, looks like a Carrera GT...it looks like a Lotus Elise. Lern2identifycarz

I think Rock* is hiding something. In trailer 1 the 9F had no badges on the back. No, it is not because it went so fast that it didn't show it. I had the trailer in full HD and still had no badges. But with the image released today with the 9F being chased by the red convertible Dewbauchee, the 9F had badges on the back. I think Rock* are hiding some vehicle names until later on. But it can be a beta model that has changed over time.

Very good thread guys. I would like to add something though, I recall R* saying they go through serious research when selecting vehicles in the game, such as car sales in California. I think it would be interesting if someone could find car sales in California and LA in particular as that might give us an idea of what vehicles will be potentially in the game, of course R* might not follow all of it but probably most of it.

Yeah, in the best selling cars list I see a BMW Z4 and a BMW 3 series. The blue convertible Micheal was driving in the trailer looked like a mix of Z4 and 3 series.

EDIT: ^^^^^^^^ I highly agree with you. I think it's safe to say that IGCD is better than the OP at figuring out what kind of cars these are. A lot of them don't even match up to their real-life counterpart...

So, everyone, have 2 cents.

 

The red car with Franklin flipping the finger, I'll say is more of the Zagato than anything else. The front fascia is the only thing that's not obvious, but I'd happily agree on Zagato.

 

Now, the NEW-er red sports car... That's everything. Z4, AMG, F-Type... It's a huge mix, until we see the rear, I don't think we can conclude.

 

The red (f*ck, R*, you're making this hard) car in the background of a blue Lotus, it's the Schafter. I promise.

Also just to clarify, that is NOT a third brakelight - it is the brakelights that belong on that van in front of it (Pony maybe?)

That looks rather long, plus the windows are entirely different.

I do believe that's the rear of the Manana, as you can see the brake-lights glow from the centre. The Dukes however have the reverse lights in the centre. The lights are also a lot lower and I think the chrome trims are visible.

Its too high to be a dukes, plus the back end is shorter than the dukes, and that car is a 5 door? But i may be wrong on that point. Look at the back window, and side windows. And it looks nothing like a muscle car.

Yeah, I am hoping to see the Dukes again too, I just can't wait for either a) trailer 2 or b) IGN's next 2 screens.
