GTA V weapons information

Picked up a baseball bat near Hookies, but not sure where on the property. Looked in my inventory, and there it was.

Also found a Jerry Can between the pumps at one of the gas stations along the highway up by Mt. Chilliad.

Saw a police chase end badly for the Los Santos County Sheriff's department, was able to score cash and ammo for previously acquired pistol and pump shotgun from the two former deputies and one of the perps.

Found a sniper rifle by one of the telescopes at the Observatory. Lowest level, to the left.

No ammo for it though, and not unlocked at Ammunation yet. Next time I play I'll have to see if it respawned, and if it did, if that gets me some ammo for it.

Pro tip: anyone with the bat use it to smash up a car, if you are disappointed with the crash damage you'll enjoy the bat a lot. A minute or so walking around it smashing it up from all angles is pretty satisfying, especially trying to drive the mangled mess afterwards.

Also I was very disappointed in the variety and amount of weapons, I thought it'd be on par with San Andreas at least.

Especially since after the first heist you can basically just buy them all.

This has more weapons than San Andreas.

Dude, this has MORE variety than San Andreas. Let's compare

Pistols

San Andreas: 9mm, Silenced 9mm, Desert Eagle

GTA V: Pistol, Combat Pistol, AP Pistol, Pistol .50 (special edition), Stun Gun, silencer option for pistols

SMGs

San Andreas: TEC-9, MAC-10, MP5

GTA V: Mini Uzi, SMG, Advanced SMG (Social Club)

Shotguns

San Andreas: Sawed-Off Shotgun, Pump-Action Shotgun, SPAS-12

GTA V: Sawed-Off Shotgun, Pump Shotgun, Advanced Shotgun, Bullpup Shotgun (special edition)

Assault Rifles

San Andreas: AK47, M4

GTA V: Assault Rifle, Carbine Rifle, Advanced Rifle

Sniper Rifles

San Andreas: Country Rifle, Sniper Rifle, PSG-1

GTA V: Sniper Rifle, Heavy Sniper

Heavy Weapons

San Andreas: RPG, Anti-Air Missile, Minigun, Flamethrower

GTA V: Grenade Launcher, RPG, MG, Combat MG, Minigun

With just the guns, almost every single category has as many or more options than San Andreas (and the Country Rifle in San Andreas is rarely seen in the first place).

There is only one sniper rifle in San Andreas...Lets say i would be happy if they put at least Flamethrower, Chainsaw and Katana in this game, i literally do not care for anything more! Oh and making Desert Eagle pre-order exclusive weapon was kind of dick move from R* as its like one of the main pistols i wanted to use in V, but cannot due to this pre-order crap, i don't care for two other weapons from CE and SE, but Desert Eagle is my favorite pistol and i was looking forward using it! I can't stand any other pistols they put in V!

I have to say that R* failed miserably in the weapons section. There are solely high-end weapons available. They only did the melee part right. Where are the revolvers, Mossbergs with wooden stocks, Type 56 with classic wooden stock, normal sniper rifle a civilian would own, lever-action rifles, chrome camo option, M1911, and much, much more? I hate having to go hunting with a freaking military grade sniper rifle. The normal weapons in there are also ruined by the addition of military stocks to them. And you made an "LSPD" camo option but no chrome? What the hell.

Everything else in the game is a 10/10 though.

There was an LSPD SWAT Officer in one of the underground stations, I walked up to him and said, "Say, that's a nice carbine rifle," and he just gave it to me in trade for a sniper rifle bullet to the face.

Had a 3 star foot patrol after me and got shot up pretty good, ran down the underground tube for a bit, finally turned and killed the cop pursuing me. He must've been the only one, because my wanted went to 'search' mode, and by the time I limped into the next station, I was clear.

There are little walkways on the sides of the underground tubes, so you can navigate them without being hit by the train.

Unfortunately, since I haven't 'unlocked' the carbine rifle yet, I can't upgrade the one I have or buy ammo for it.

Does anyone know how I get the taser? I'm pretty far into the game now and they have it at Ammu-Nation, but it's always out of stock. I can expect the heavy weapons like the minigun to not be unlocked until much later, but it's just a damn taser. It's not that powerful, right?

Are you sure?

On one of Trevor's rampages (the one in an alley full of gangbangers) i am sure one got thrown at me. I heard breaking glass and then there was a big fireball.

They are also shown in the guide.

Very odd. :/

Random Character mission for Trevor out in the desert, immigration control, cant think of a location right now. if I remember rightly, storyline wise the Minigun and Taser are unlocked around the same time, Michael receives one during a heist about two thirds of the way in.

Probably yet to be found, just like how the crowbar was only found a few days ago.

Search on YouTube "GTA V hidden molotov" and you will find the location. Anyway I'm waiting for weapon DLCs. I think they will come out when GTAO goes online and they will be in single player too.
