I don't know if you've noticed that R* corrected the mistake that I made them notice on the artwork where Trevor is holding the sniper rifle. I was keep saying that that kind of rifle is just fictional because there isn't the gas system and that a solid stock made for bolt actions could not fit any AR platform. Now if you look at the cover art they've changed that stock with a classic AR low receiver,in fact you can now see the fire selector. I'm very happy with that... I'm happy that R* is listening to us biggrin.gif

@Stephan123:Hahah I think it's not the case lol. If they put in the game the DSR-50 (don't come at me saying that it's featured in CoD BO2 because I really don't like the CoD franchise and this gun is the precision rifle that I've always wanted to be in a videogame) that I've on my weapon's list on the first post of this topic,I will be happy with that biggrin.gif

Well, do you think that the HK 416 in the second trailer was just a coincidence? rolleyes.gif

@ ACR, the link of the double barrel shotgun, you proposed as weapon for the game, is broken. Do you have another link, or was it just a random weapon?

You could be really right, but I am not sure about it. So I am waiting for other opinions. xOMeGa said it is a Glock 18 and he is quite knowledgeable when it comes to firearms.

It could be a glock 19, 19's usually don't stick out the bottom of your hand like a 17 will. but that is unusable info Because we don't know the scale/size of the characters hands.

Glock 19's are far more popular because they are slightly easier to conceal.

The only way to truly know would be to see the gun w/o someone holding it or know how many rounds the mag holds.

Basically how many times it shoots w/o you'r character reloading

Edit: an there's a high probability that its a 17 not a 18.

Edit: upon further review of the screenshots/art work it is definitely a full sized Glock regardless of model

(Note the light rail on the Glock in the screen has the screw set point further back than the 19/compact model's.)

The reason i believe its the 19 is the short barrel size

Am I right assuming that the Glock 17 and 18 are optically identical apart from the fire selector of the Glock 18 on the left side of the slide?! And since we don't have a view of the left side, we can't deecide which of the two it is.

Yes I believe you are correct. And I think we need to stop trying to pinpoint specific models, game dev's job is to make it look cool not realistic/accurate.

mad.gif I had a sound argument all lined up for why it was most likely a G17 over a G18.

because obtaining one ( in a criminal manner especially) is nearly impossible, theres only one way to get a G18 and this is to ( A ) be a class 3 firearm dealer/manufacture, and ( B ) have it TEMPORARILY gifted to you by GLOCK.

But seeing the mini gun screen just blows that argument out of the water turn.gif

I changed it to Glock 17 or 18. Anyone got a good image of a real life Glock 18 without enhanced barrel, seen from the left? I can't find one on the internet.

What about the assault rifle held by Trevor in the picture above, is it a MK18? I want to know if it is a different model from the one Michael has on the Vinewood artwork.

Update: Changed the TAR-21 to CTAR-21

Like I said we really need to stop trying to pin point specific models.

IMO its full sized Glock. Look at the attachment rail, do you see the little cut in the frame? Maybe omega will back me up on that.

As for the AR Trever is holding its not a mk18, looks like a basic AR that someone just chopped the barrel down with a hack saw / Just keep calling it an AR15

Btw why are we calling a knight stick a side handle baton?

Yes, I think that it's a full size/standard Glock model too. As crispypiston said,it's difficult to say what exact model the artwork is referring to...

You mean night stick not knight stick. Eddi told me that this was the American English name and side handle baton is the British English name.

I think you'll find in the UK we call ours an ASP baton (ASP being the company who manufactures it). Basically it doesn't have a handle like the US ones, instead it's a telescopic steel rod which can be 'flicked' out quickly.

As for the weapons... I think the faux sniper rifle and various vehicles are a strong indication that not every weapon will be based 100% on a real life model.

What type of gun is Trevor holding?

user posted image

looks like Colt Commando (not saying it has to be a Colt since now there's a million of guns based on Commando design, which is pretty much even shorter M4) http://panzerschreck.strefa.pl/zdjecia/com...o/commando1.jpg , however it seems the barrel on the art-work is wrong (it's way too short) but hey it's the same with MP5's magazine on another artwork
