Damn, I feel like I am the late guy to the party! Why did I not check the forum earlier this week?! I've spent the last 30-45mins reading through the two v7 topics, loving the new features. Watching the videos, they really do make V7 look like something very special! But I will wait a while before trying it, because I hate bugs, they annoy me so much ^^

We now get driveby mode! :-) What about turret mode, like in that mission were the Grove boys go to Jeferson Motel and are ambushed by SWAT and police forces?

Not the game music. What I mean is, mp3 files that will play during the mission.

 

What, you think I don't know how to slow down the game sound?

You should lower the soundlevel of the music in the MP3 file, by editing the mp3 file.

 

I guess that is what SP suggested too ph34r.gif

 

EDIT:

You could use the free "Audacity" tool. Also very handy when you want to do other edits to the mp3 files you want to use, such as trim them down in length.

Is someone able to create a short video tutorial that explains how to use the linear and smooth cutscene's.

Some people seem to have problems with that.

 

It should explain how these cutscene's move from the previous camera location to the new position. and that you can use a zero-second static cutscene to create a specific starting location for your moving cutscene.

For example I want about 5 cutscenes before the am.mp3, how would I go about doing that?

I see someone suggested it, but how about a turret mode? It could really come in handy. Just the same as in the mission "Families reunited" or something like that, where SWAT ambushes the hotel and you have to escape

AM stands for ambiance, which means background noise, which means it is for your whole mission, NOT for certain objectives. In other words, that can't be done.

You can however make music after 5 cutscenes, by calling your song: 06.mp3

However, that will mean that it will end by the time you complete objective 6, get it?

I thought about making a mission based tutorial on all new features of DYOM anyway. Not sure when I can get around to doing it though.

I would like to remind everyone that you're all invited to create as much DYOM V7 footage as possible. As we will try

to put a lot of your work in the official DYOM V7 trailer. This can be scene's to showof new functionality, showing how to

set up the new features. Also appreciated would be footage from the smaller new things, so we can include them also in the trailer.
