@Guib: Not much, yet it's looks quite fine I think, there are so many new possibilies.

Just imagine how epic missions could be with that moving cutscene thing.

Just some beta experimenting I've done with the new wip version of dyom.

I was just goofin' around when I suddenly noticed it was not that bad, and decided to upload it.

Point is, there are so many options from which you can choose, so many

creative designs you can do with this version,

and that's an idea for ya guys.

EDIT: As for the song, it was the only one on my computer so don't mind me for my laziness of not finding a better song. tounge.gif

 

EDIT 2: Edited link as it was invalid.

 

EDIT 3: Added video. At around 37 seconds, you might have to raise the sound to hear the music.

 

EDIT 4:

 

-Health bar for the three bosses;

-Enemy 1 vs Enemy 2 at the two first battles;

-Friend vs Enemy 1 vs Enemy 2 at the third battle;

-Three new objects (villa; chair; desk with computer) at the beginning;

-Two new animations (SWAT wall covering and sitting with hand gesture) at the beginning;

-Moving (with loop) gate at the end;

-Background sound during the whole mission;

-Collecting all (M4) pickups objective;

-Three uses of the random player (actor);

-Smooth cutscene before the battle against the second boss.

I love how my war ambiance sounds gives it a great spin!

 

 

 

Oh, and this is the first time that I made a game-play video ever, so it may not be perfect.But it turned out pretty good i think.

 

About the mission, it isn't really anything special, I just wanted to make something quick...

New things I used in the mission:

-Movable cutscenes

-Player ammo (only 30 bullets)

-Crouching soldiers

-Awesome war ambiance

-Enemy vs enemy (the guy with the uzi at 0:50)

-Health bar for the brother at the beginning

How do you select random actors? I know how it is for weapons, because it was quite easy to find, but I don't know about actors.

-Go to the actors selection menu;

-Go down (from the Carl Johnson actor) until you find the clown with the word "random";

-Everytime you play that mission, a new random actor will appear.

V6 won't be able to read the v7 mission files, as the missionfile format changed. This will probably lead to a crash.

You should however be able to load v6 version ( and older) in the V7 version.

If someone would be able to test this for a couple of files ( best would be from different versions), and see if they still work as expected

that would be appreciated.

 

Btw, if you do test the beta version, please take time to post here what you tested, also if it works. That way we (and you guys) get a good idea of the testcoverage of this public beta. The ideal scenario is that all new existing and new functionality gets confirmed to be still working smile.gif

 

 

 

I'm making a mission and I want to kill ALL enemys in all gangs.

 

Chose "Kill Whole Gang" Only selects the last enemy actor placed.

 

There is no "Kill All" option.

 

"Kill whole gang" requires you to kill all enemy actors that belong t the same gang as the objective actor on which you use this option. (either enemy1 or enemy2). So if you make all your enemy actors (both normal and objectove) belong to the same enemy gang, "kill whole gang" works the same as "kill all enemies" used to work in the previous release.

I made the first mission of my mission pack using DYOM V7 Beta. I know it wont work in the final, but still, i dont have patience biggrin.gif.

Is there anymore features to be added to the final version?

If so, i would like:

- A locked aim mod for a limited time (like when using a minigun in some missions).

- Ability to add - in mission description without NP++.

- Mod garage menu instead of simply choosing colors.

- Ability to turn on/off peds/cars in settings menu.

Peds/cars can be turned of by adding the special objective at the start of a mission

Awsome stuff, epic symphonic music(in the beggining that is), I like! were going to have so many great missions with this new version thing.

btw:

Peds/cars can be turned of by adding the special objective at the start of a mission

Sometimes people forget to add that objective in the beggining in the mission, that means if you want to get that to work, you have to remake the mission from scratch.

Or you can simply select objective zero (the player) or the first one (if you cannot select the player) and add it.

 

Then you have to reselect the last objective to continue your designing.
