You Know I wonder how many people actually make the sigs not just get them off Google Images and put it up or just slap your name on it errrrrrrrrr The People who win mostly I doubt they make them. Yeah Sure take the pic off Google Images and put some work in it no just Put your name on it and win I think it is pathetic but Oh well. As long as people don't just steal other people's work, but instead actually alter it to make it their own entry is acceptable. I try my best to produce something original; the entry I posted was actually one of my first photo-manipulation works, using various stock images and compositing them to create a dragon-themed scene. If you need proof check the DA link in my sig. I don't think posting proof is necessary though. Being an artist requires a certain amount of credibility and respect for fellow artists. It's as easy for you to steal someone else's work as it is for them to steal yours. Some people make a career out of editing other peoples images, which could be as simple as cropping them. So there really is no reason to criticise anyone here for being "pathetic", since everyone has varying skills and different styles and perspectives of what they consider to be art. Well I suppose but then again people are getting Credit for smacking Their name on a Picture Made by somebody else I can see 2 people who most definitely didn't make their But I won't name names. GunWrath Posted November 6, 2012 Share Posted November 6, 2012 I'm curious as to why Limitless' signature was taken down? nearly everyone on here has used an image already created and found on google images, some of which weren't even "custom" due to they didn't have any form of text or design. No signature should be taken down unless it was clearly ripped from another designer or eviden proving it was being misused. Which if that is the case, all signatures should be taken down, yes? Since most of us use images already made while browsing different search engines and websites. Reasons to this is why you won't see me participating in any future SOTW contests. Post up the signatures anyways, if people don't like it or think it's wrong, then they won't vote for it. As to Conviction, you complain of others simply just adding "text" to signatures, what about yours? How is that any different than what Limitless has entered? He found an amusing and funny picture, sized it to signature size and entered the contest, I see no problem with that.. also, If you don't want use of such things as that, then simply state them in rules or start using rules.
