Clue #1: Historical reference - The mission in which Niko is tasked with killing Ivan is called "Ivan the Not So Terrible", I assume it's a reference to Russian emperor Ivan The Terrible.

Clue #2: Interesting surname - Ivan's surname is Bytchkov, sounds like the swear word "b*tch".

Clue #3: Humored to be a homosexual - During the opening cutscene of "Ivan the Not So Terrible", when Vlad is ringed by Mallorie, unaware who it is, Niko jokingly replies "Was it Ivan?", a joke that pins both Vlad and Ivan as homosexuals.

Clue #4: Wanted: Dead - Vlad wants Ivan dead and sends Niko to kill him during the mission "Ivan the Not So Terrible".
