At least we know Trailer 2 will be out by at least next week! I reckon that if this damn Hurricane that hadn't claimed so many lives in the US and Carribean, we would have had trailer 2 by now...

I genuinely think it's just a case of uploading the finished trailer, and inserting it into the relevant places on the web (official site, youtube, newswire etc.).

This must only be possible to do from the NYC HQ? Can't complain, no one can stop such a great natural disaster... the fact that people are angry at rockstar for it our of some misplaced sense of self-entitlement baffles me.

I reckon R* will still be on schedule for releasing the trailer. I mean, the power's meant to come back on in NYC tomorrow, right? So, as soon as they can get hold of the trailer, they can release it.

The trailer is made, hence 'we have already released trailer 2' on the letter. But all files etc would be stored on the NY servers, which aren't oporational and therefore un-uploadable.

IMIO, why they said that cause they thought the trailer would be posted before the pre-orders open, which means either today would of have been the trailer two, but due of Sandy, probably gonna come out Nov.5 or week of that. Probably Nov.8

There is a week before GI cover. Judging by their response, they are ALREADY WORKING on Trailer 2 after Sandy. So I think that they will do everything in order to release a trailer before GI Cover. It will be just a few days later

They didn't have a year to make the trailer if they want the trailer to look like the game looks now. They have to play the current build of the game to record the scenes they want. They also have to PLAY the game for hours to record cool stunts and that takes hours because even though they have developer cheat codes, things happen randomly as they play and it takes repetition and luck to get the perfect shot.

Manhattan is almost on the other side of NYC. Rockstar is in/near SoHo, it might take a while longer.

P.S. ^^Wtf? Manhattan is the island kid..Lower manhattan is the section without power specifically everything below 40th street is out due to a blown transformer by the FDR Drive

I wouldnt expect it tomorrow even if power was back tonight. They probably still have some things to do to it, I say at least 2 days worth of work

I don't think they will release the trailer as soon as power is restored. They've not been able to get work done at their HQ so there will be a lot for them to catch up on, business things besides trailers and images. Plus, just because power is back does not mean their employees can actually get to work. Remember people's lives are affected here. I'd say the beginning or middle of next week. That coincides nicely with the pre-orders, as well as GI's reveal.
