Heres the thing: the trailer is done based on the letter that we have seen, so im confused why they say why they are workng on it. But i seen where the power is supposed to be restored to the majority of the area by saturday. So i guess monday?

They don't literally mean that they're working on the trailer. They mean that they're working on releasing the trailer. Trust me on this.

The reason they won't release the trailer isn't, I would imagine, anything to do with their office in New York.

 

I'd imagine it has more to do with the amount of people without power. Would you release a trailer knowing that a lot of your customers aren't going to get a chance to see it?

 

Rockstar will want everyone on their website, not going to Youtube a few hours/days later. And they will want to get as many people to see the trailer as they can. If I had an announcement to make, and i was holding a press conference, I wouldn't start talking when only 3/4 of the people are in the door. I'd want everyone to hear it.

Or work at one of the shipping warehouses the game passes through in large quantity and steal one. Happened to IV and videos of it were up on YouTube days before it was released.

Brooklyn and Manhattan (where R*'s office is located) are supposed to get power in 2 days from now. The rest of the city in like 5 days.

Yes, however, the address (as far as I know) for Rockstar Games' NYC office is here, in Manhattan, and judging by this article, they should have power by this Saturday.
