I just preordered GTA V in My local Gamestop. Chicago ILL. And i didnt get anything.

But as for more cities, i really don't see it happening. Rockstar last year said it for a reason that it was Los Santos, why say that when they could also say Los Santos, Las Venturas and San Fierro? I believe they will make Los Santos and everything around it immensely detailed, to a point where you just can't expect two more big cities.

The possibility to see more cities than "only LS" is a truism at this point.

 

Even if these cities are small,Rockstar need some settlements around the (huge) map to give consistency and credibility to the plot/world.

 

I´m not talking to have a city of the same size of LS,but definitely there are some cities in South California wich will have its own R* version.

Just interjecting here, don't mind me, but I share Lotus' opinion.

 

We've seen how huge and varied this map is going to be; huge mountain ranges, forests, fields, deserts. So are you telling me that the map will consist of Los Santos in one corner of the map with empty desert and forest expanding beyond it? Where is the incentive to move away from the city? How will the game be split into three distinct sections?

 

Sure, there could be towns dotted around the desert/countryside, but that's not enough. There needs to be something more substantial on the other side of the countryside/desert, otherwise this huge world R* are creating will be an empty husk akin to Just Cause 2. Which is fine for a Just Cause game, not for a R* game.

 

So while there's no proof, some of us can't picture how this map will be set up without at least one more city.

Hmmmmm very interesting. That's definitely a new way to look at it. But as for incentive to move away from the city, wouldn't that just be by going deep into the countryside? Go skydiving in the mountain area and what not? That's a huge difference from the city, where it's just buildings and streets and so on. Maybe Los Santos the city itself is insanely large too perhaps?

Maybe as an element of surprise? You wouldn't seriously expect them to show all their cards, and a big card at that, straight away. They did the same with San Andreas; the first trailer showed Los Santos then the second trailer showed SF and LV. Drip feed information to keep people hooked.

You got a very good point there. So when they announced GTA SA, they didn't explain there were three cities? Jesus...imagine them releasing the second trailer tomorrow or next week and it actually would show LV and SF....words can't describe how happy all of that would make us, it's all possible, that's a fact.

I wouldlove to see LV. All the Casinos and stuff, the nightlife and everything else that is just awesome. I think I'd actually cry if LV wad in there. It was extrordinary in SA.Imagine how epic it'd look on the RAGE engine, new n' improved!

They NEVER did that.

Yes i know that Rockstar have confirmed it on the Newswire in the comments. But some people here were talking about a countdown and that the trailer will be here tomorrow, that's clearly all nonsense. But the way they said it, it was like it was factual and confirmed.

I have been following everything, from how the thread had only one page and turned into 80 pages in no time, i've seen it all and i never doubted the letter. I merely meant that some people here ,previous page i think were talking about the second trailer's countdown, as if it was already up and that it was confirmed for tomorrow. That was my only point

Trailer could still happen tomorrow people, if TTCC was delayed one day due to Sandy, then a trailer can still happen tomorrow, so bank on that!
