1. The letter to the stores talks as though a trailer should be out before the 5th, but with Hurricane Sandy devastation, who knows when R* will be able to get back to their offices.

Yeah but that IS precisely the point. They sent the letters and promo stuff out early, most likely to avoid the hurricane and the prolonged delivery times it probably brings. And the letters still talk of the past regarding the trailer, and the 5th as the present, meaning the trailer has to be out before monday.

 

And afaik they release nothing on weekends usually so tomorrow sounds reasonable.

 

And of course tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of trailer 1.

 

I have my money on tomorrow for sure.

OT: Wow that topic already has 100 pages. ^^^That was posted numerous times now that Rockstar updated the post on the newswire.

Good thing we have all you wannabe mods keeping the place safe biggrin.gif

Has nothing to do with wanting to be a mod (which is a sh*t job btw which you'd know if you ever were one anywhere), it's just that we like GTA and these forums and want to keep them in good condition.

Don't pay The Scottish Guy any attention, he likes to piss people off and then watch the whole thread turning into a flame war, take a look at his posts in Gen Chat for example, thank god we have someone like sivispacem there at least, he owns him everytime he decides to spew bullsh*t out of his mouth.

This morning I was checking GameStop to see if they'd updated their GTA V pre-order splash page (Found here: Grand Theft Auto V Release Date and Pre Order) because when you search GTA V or Grand Theft Auto V you would be redirected to this page. BUT, this afternoon, I went back and searched for GTA V, and got a page of results. (Xbox 360 version page found here: GTA V - Xbox 360)

 

Nothing much has been added to the page yet, but its better than a splash page. smile.gif

that was just for the debut trailer,

look at gta iv after the first trailer there were no more countdowns.

Nobody knows. I was just taking a guess. It's fun to guess- what else is there to do?

 

We all hope it will be released tomorrow of course, but just give them time to do their stuff.

I do agree, the wording sounds exactly like a trailer is coming tomorrow. All I'm saying is that R* may be unable to get to their offices in NYC, and since they are the ones that do all the marketing and thus can't simply say "Oi R* North, post the trailer to the newswire", it's likely that it would have to wait to next week if Sandy has affected them.

I don't think people are realizing the scope of the damage Sandy caused to NYC. You better believe it will delay at least something Rockstar had planned. Stop being so close minded and see the bigger picture.

 

Ill leave an article of the scope of the tragedy...
