Wow, what a sh*thead! Here, in Pennsylvania, there are still towns without power. He says the rest of the world has power. There are more important things for the people of NY to be concerned about than the 2nd trailer for a video game. WTF is wrong people......

Following this logic, they should never post 2nd trailer because every day people die or are victims to natural distaters and heve more important things to worry about than the trailer for video game?

You are missing my point. Since the Hurricane has affected R* directly (and possibly the employees of that office), I don't think they need to justify the delay of the 2nd trailer for a video game to some sh*t head on the internet.

On some other forums i see people having doubts on this whole thing. They find it ridiculous that they would only have the trailer in one building and that Rockstar North woudln't have a sparecopy/files of it. Some others actually say it's all a lie. That Rockstar is aware that the letter had leaked and they had to talk about it. But the trailer is not finished and thus they say this. If the trailer had not leaked, Rockstar wouldn't have said a thing.

 

I choose to believe Rockstar though, i see no reason to doubt it, nor do i want to. I suggest some people just chill and relax. One thing seems certain though, the trailer was either planned for yesterday or today, not monday. Cause the letter speaks of pre-ordering on November 5th. And that the trailer had already been released. So in other words...Rockstar had awesome things planned for the fans, to make us all very excited for the explosion on information next week. And they did tell us to get ready, awesome. Shame it didn't work out, not their fault though.

Anyone who has ever shot and edited a professional video on a deadline understands Rockstar's problem. It's a huge jigsaw puzzle of media files created by a whole team. The operation is not very portable. Consider priorities. If this was a government spy agency with secret spy video that had to get to the president, then of course they could get it out despite an emergency. But it's a trailer for an entertainment product. It's not done. They work on these things till deadline to make them the best they can be. It's a team effort. There are notes and storyboards all over the office. It's not worth releasing an imperfect rough cut when they can soon finish it properly. The trailer is going to represent the game for a long time, around the world, and the disruption to the schedule should not be allowed to harm the quality of the trailer. The best way to get the best result is to wait until things are back to normal in the production office and then get back to work.
