Finn 7 five 11
I really like this one, it kinda gets to me when i think about our mortality and what we believe to be our lives to be. All Our lives really are to us, is a collection of moments and memories... All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Which is said in a way. I forget who said it, some say Rowan Atkinson, there's a song about it, and it's in Blade Runner, where it originated is questionable, but i guess it doesn't matter. unopescio
The personal, as everyone's so f*cking fond of saying, is political. So if some idiot politician, some power player, tries to execute policies that harm you or those you care about, take it personally. Get angry. The Machinery of Justice will not serve you here – it is slow and cold, and it is theirs, hardware and soft-. Only the little people suffer at the hands of Justice; the creatures of power slide out from under with a wink and a grin. If you want justice, you will have to claw it from them. Make it personal. Do as much damage as you can. Get your message across. That way you stand a far better chance of being taken seriously next time. Of being considered dangerous. And make no mistake about this: being taken seriously, being considered dangerous, marks the difference – the only difference in their eyes – between players and little people. Players they will make deals with. Little people they liquidate. And time and again they cream your liquidation, your displacement, your torture and brutal execution with the ultimate insult that it's just business, it's politics, it's the way of the world, it's a tough life, and that it's nothing personal. Well, f*ck them. Make it personal. -Richard K. Morgan
Pyrrhic
And also at the end of the quote in GTA3Freak's signature it says 'time to die' which makes our loss even more sad But here are two of my favourite quotes: I always tell the truth, even when I lie. - Tony Montana (Scarface) In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women. - Tony Montana (Scarface) Yes, I like Scarface. Probably my favourite movie of all time. Finn 7 five 11
And also at the end of the quote in GTA3Freak's signature it says 'time to die' which makes our loss even more sad Did you bother reading anyone else's quotes? Because it's already been mentioned a few times in this topic and you make it sound like you're the first to bring it up. By the way Thanks to the guy who confirmed it from Blade Runner. Another one to keep on topic, i have no idea who said this. You can do anything, but not everything. EDIT: I do actually thanks to a google search. It's by David Allen some motivational speaker guy who seems to do these talks to try and help people become successful.

The extended part isn't really extended, that is the original quote Chris didn't add it, mine was shortened and i shortened it for a reason because i felt the last part was unnecessary. But whatever. Mafia Drive Gunner
It's too bad she won't live! But then again, who does? Interesting. But my favourite. I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. I've got a heap that I love but that just sums up MJ.

Mr Rabbit
Just some comedians Never trust a man, who when left alone with a tea cosey... Doesn't try it on. I hate sitting in traffic, because I always get run over. Let me ask you a question. How long is too long to text someone back? My wife still thinks I died in 9/11. They say that the Olympics is going to rekindle English national pride. I mean, for £9.2 billion they could have written “f*ck off Germany” onto the moon. Scientists have just built the world's biggest supercollider, and they're doing experiments to see what makes up protons. I hope that if the experiment's successful, the whole of our reality will dissolve, and a big sign will up come that says: Level Two. Greenline
Nothing is True, Everything is Permitted. That is not by him, when I went to Alamut (the Iranian Masyaf, because Al-Mualim was Iranian and all) there was a sign reading that he didn't really say that, nor was there such a creed. Not much is known about them, some speculate that Hashashin was possibly related to the Turkish name for Opium, Hashash, (because Alamut and most other places the Hashashin were located are places where Azeri Turkish is/was spoken) while others still stand with the Hashish theory. To contribute: The best thing to do with good advice is to pass it on I will create a country so modern, that in 20 years Persia will again be one of the greatest lands on earth Then the fundamentalists over-threw him Edited November 2, 2012 by Greenline
DEALUX
^ I like the advice one. It reminds of a quote from The Devil's Advocate (most likely inspired from somewhere else) said by Al Pacino: "The worst vice is advice." There's also "Not even a good thing is as good as nothing.". I think this one is my favorite; I don't know if this is the exact phrasing and I can't find the author. I also like "A man can do what he wants, but not want what he wants." by Schopenhauer. lil weasel
• Anger dwells only in the bosom of fools. • Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex... It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction. • Any man who reads too much and uses his own brain too little falls into lazy habits of thinking. • Anyone who doesn't take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted in large ones either • Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen • Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school. • Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are even incapable of forming such opinions • I am not only a pacifist but a militant pacifist. I am willing to fight for peace. Nothing will end war unless the people themselves refuse to go to war. • If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts • If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough • In matters of truth and justice, there is no difference between large and small problems, for issues concerning the treatment of people are all the same • Information is not knowledge • It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder. • Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind. • Nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced • Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former • Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding. • Reading, after a certain age, diverts the mind too much from its creative pursuits. Any man who reads too much and uses his own brain too little falls into lazy habits of thinking. • Small is the number of people who see with their eyes and think with their minds. • The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits. •The only source of knowledge is experience. • The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it. • Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters. • Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods. • You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war. • You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else. -AE
