Well since GTA V i most likely released in there fiscal 2014, It's safe to say that there earnings for fiscal 2014 will be huge!!!!!! I say this because of the possible DLC's for GTA V, NBA 2k14, and other titles that would generate a huge income.....

I bet money too in Oct 2013 the first DLC will be available for GTA V!!

So what time is the conference then UK time?

Take a look: http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/gener...ence+Call&csz=1

How awesome would it have been if they never announced ANYTHING about the existence of the game until NOW? They could have come out with the same info they just released about GTAV coming this spring, and nobody would be complaining about any delays. Although Rockstar took a good step by not giving any concrete release dates, and therefore avoiding delay announcements, they should have kept EVERYTHING under wraps until now. Hopefully, next time they will just wait until the game is ACTUALLY on the verge of completion, and then surprise everyone with a sudden release date.

Yeah, that would have been explosive, even more than it was back in November 2011. Let's hope that this is the case next time.

Yeah. Right now we would all have been jumping and screaming with excitement, and nobody would give a f*ck about lack of info, release dates or anything else. Game Informer would be coming in less than a month with all the info we could ever need, and we would all be saying, "holy sh*t!, it's coming in the SPRING!". They could have given us the trailer along with the recent announcement, and we'd be disecting it without annoying discussions or complaints about things that don't have anything to do with the game itself.

I really hope Rockstar does it this way the next time.

I have always said and i will repeat it again: End of April 2013. Just like Take-Two did back in 2008 with GTA IV.

Not surprising. I made this prediction a while ago.

Much do I want GTA5 as soon as possible, I don't see it being released this fiscal year. Borderlands 2, X-Com: Enemy Unknown, and Bioshock Infinite are expected to be huge sellers. NBA 2K games sells very well. Putting GTA5 in this fiscal year will leave Take2's next fiscal year dry.

Does anyone know how many weeks/months before release did Take Two/Rockstar announce that GTA IV's development was finished?

Did you know that a FORUM LEADER created this thread? Oh you didn't? I guess that explains your useless reply.

OT: I kind of hate Adriaan for announcing this. tounge.gif But in all seriousness, it does suck that this happened, but I'm hoping that we'll get the game in April. It would go along with GTA IV and its April release. Time will tell... smile.gif

Perhaps I should just preorder it. Leave theese forums. And then on some sunny spring day, receive GTA V in the mail. Ah sweet ignorance...

This is an interesting turn up for the books. They are still being very vague about it though. Odd how XCOM is listed as Fiscal 2014 and GTA V looks to be the same, but is listed as Spring 2013.

The conference starts in 2 hours and you can listen here http://ir.take2games.com/phoenix.zhtml?p=i...eventID=4844291 - just click 'click here for webcast'

Yeah, I thought that too. GTA V isn't relevant for this fiscal year anymore but they are listing it as 'Spring 2013'. Weird. Well, it's possible that Take-Two starts to speak about fiscal year 2014 and what expectations they have. I think that FY14 has the potencial to be the best fiscal year. It's possible. It only depends on which titles 2K Games has in their line-up and if Rockstar Games has another title to release besides GTA V.

As a result of Take-Two's downgraded revenue projections from $1.8 billion to $1.1 - $1.2 billion for the financial year ending March 31st, 2013 - it is very clear now that GTAV is coming out AFTER March 2013.

There we have it folks. Not that I take these financial stuff that serious however if the finincial stuff is also saying after March 2013 then it seems my guess of the game been out in May 2013 is going to be the case. I find it funny that whenever I said May 2013 folk beat me over the head with this financial stuff and now the financial stuff points to the same thing as what I thought to begin with. I'm not disappointed if May 2013 is the case as that's what I expect anyway.

F*ck. They have changed their predictions. Yes, many of the evidence of those who thought that GTA V will be released before April, were controversial, and sometimes weak.

But financial predictions - it's almost indisputable evidence in what period of time the game comes out. Before, everything pointed to the fact that the game will be released before April. Now they have changed their predictions, and it is likely they have moved release of the game.

So don't need to flatter your ego, saying that these financial predictions are not valued

I said I don't take them serious. Never have never will because they can change at anytime like it has done here. Internal delay or not it still boils down to the same answer and that's May 2013. That was my point. Simply because R* big games have done the same thing and came out in May. I don't need to flatter my ego I'm just saying my opinion. You can't deal with that? That's none of my concern.

Even though i would have prefered March by far. This DOES mean i still have plenty of time to work on my backlog, which is still big enough. And the games i still need to buy and the upcoming ones. With all those games it's also gonna be easier to just ignore more and more information on GTA V, which is also very good.

To all the people who were gettin butthurt because I was saying they wouldn't release gtaV that close to Bioshock because of cannibalism between the 2 products. Told you so!!

Now suck my dick!!

LOL

I said they give Bioshock sometime aswell but someone said my thinking was wrong.

And this for a good reason. They don't have delayed GTA V because of Bioshock Infinite. If Take-Two would think like you think, then why was Duke Nukem Forever released 24 days after L.A. Noire? Both games were AAA-titles and Take-Two had relatively high expectations for these games.

Yes they did. Cannibalism nigga, how many times do I have to say it.....

GTA is so big that you can't reference those other games as a fair comparison. If you release GTA around another one of your products, you can bet your ass it's gonna take away sales from it!!

Think about how many people would maybe get the money to buy Bioshock at the time of its release or maybe even a couple weeks after release, and then think "I'll just spend my money on GTA." Or, in the other case, they will think "I'll just wait a couple weeks and buy GTA instead"

There is no logic to defend against this. It is called CANNIBALISM. Remember it lol
