LAPD 85
here is that "slicktop" screen in HD Again, that is not a slicktop. Please refer to this.
USAPatriot
That isn't a slicktop, but thats not real important in the grand scheme of things. Slicktops are cool though, but what makes me happy in that picture is the reflections and colors bouncing off walls and the ground from the lights. USAPatriot
I still wonder what the SUV is with the green markings on it that we've seen. There is a clear different between it and other suvs in terms of markings.
gtablt
Here we can see the SUV units above. The other patrol cars almost look all white even though we know they have markings. Maybe it is just me, but the striped white SUV in these shots appear to have a higher stance then the black and whites. Also here in the image below we can see a civilian Declasse Granger SUV. USAPatriot
Lets see if we can at least come to a better conclusion with the striped SUV then. Here is another image of it. Something interesting... but is the SUV in the image above the same design as the one below? I don't see where is becomes thicker on the side stripe for the wording on the SUV. I kind of see it I guess. Just thought I would point that out.
gtablt
No matter how much zooming or trying to crispen the SUV in the picture, I just can't make out anything from it. :-/
USAPatriot
Anyone notice the helicopters are different? Or does one just have a door open along the side? No matter what, they are almost flying in the same position, though they appear slightly different. The one above resembles a Huey more.

USAPatriot
This might help with analyzing. I got a few things I pointed out below. It sure helps to come back some time later and look at images. You start seeing things you didn't notice before. I have a spot labeled as a civilian or unmarked Vapid Cruiser? In the video it is running with all the other patrol cars down the road... but it sure looks blank white. Zoomed in I see no light bar. I also show various angles of the striped Declasse Granger SUV. Even with the best zoom, there is no way to make out what it says or shows on the side. This is very desperate sounding, but do these helicopters look the same to you? I know they are. But they look slightly different besides being angled slightly different. Lets hear your opinions and see if we can break this stuff down. gtablt
Yikes, this is tough. The helicopters I am sure are the same, but you got my mind racing. For some reason the SUV has colors that remind me of park service, like park rangers, but I doubt they would be out there by the prison for no reason. I want to say it is Blaine County, but if so, they are mixed in deep with a pursuit of Los Santos County Sheriff cars..... if those white cars are in fact LSCSO. They could be as you said, re-makes of Los Santos Sheriff cars, but say Blaine County on them!
USAPatriot
The cluster of police cars smashing into each other and spinning around in This Photo really remind me of this real life photo slightly. Police Pursuit Cluster Good point GTABLT! They could be white Blaine County Sheriff cars with their SUVs which are their more tactical unit. My only concern is we've seen this SUV in the shots with Trevor climbing the Vinewood sign, which is clearly in Los Santos County, not Blaine County. But it is possible. USAPatriot
The stripe on the Declasse Granger is similar to old Customs and Border Protections vehicles, as well as National Park Service ranger units. Yes, simple stripes are common all over the place, but we are still trying to figure this agency out. Could it be some higher government authority? Here are similar designs federally in the United States. Older U.S. Customs and Border Protection Units. Unless near the border or breaking international law such as smuggling drugs or something, there isn't too much of a reason for them to be pursuing the player. Do we rule them out? Below, the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. National Park Service are two different agencies. Both have armed park rangers, and both have green stripe designs. San Andreas Park Service / Rangers is something magazines have reported to seeing in the game. An official name was never given, but they said park rangers. Both are federal agencies. U.S. National Parks Park Ranger U.S. Forest Service So far in all the pictures of the striped Declasse Granger SUV, it has been mixed with other agencies. The location in various pictures is concerning because it appears in areas one would think as Blaine County, but it has also appeared in areas that are Los Santos County. With that kind of jurisdiction variance, it makes one think it could be some sort of federal vehicle or state vehicle that goes through all jurisdictions. California State Park Ranger Vehicles do not have a stripe through them in real life. But we have learned that Rockstar will twist things a bit as they have with LAPD cars and Los Santos County Sheriff cars which are white. As shown through these images, having a stripe as the design on a car is nothing mindblowing or new. But it can help give us an idea of what the striped SUV is. Many are still betting it is a sheriff car, and if that is the case, California has a few striped sheriff cars. Small example of green striped sheriff cars below. This location is right next to the Vinewood sign if I recall from a different screenshot. I wonder if we could have a chance of seeing a San Andreas Fish & Game Warden? jordan39g
Oh man, I really want to know what department that green stripped SUV is. I know that wasn't a beneficial comment lol but seriously! I do hope that if it does turn out to be the Blaine County Sheriff's office that they at least have Vapids or some kind of cruisers too. Less than a month away guys and we can be patrolling the streets!!

USAPatriot
Yep, we got new stuff to break down today with the latest updates from Rockstar's site! Go give it a check. Damaged LSPD unit. Older Vapid Cruiser. Country club security or sheriff from Los Santos or Blaine County? http://www.rockstargames.com/V/lsbc/country-clubs It is security though. GTALE
It looks like security. It's nice though that they didn't make all the security guards be fat lazy guys like in GTA IV. It seems like they've made the cops more serious. As for the police car scene, it is heavily damaged, has the old markings, but still looks good. The officers inside are well modeled and they have insignias on their uniforms.

USAPatriot
That is possible, though I think they will just be security guards from some private company. Also as a heads up. No one post spoilers or talk about spoiler topics on this thread. Only discuss whats been seen in the game through official released like we have always done. A shame this has to happen. :-/

I hope there are female officers too as it showed in one of R* artwork. It would make it more realistic.
jordan39g
It shows the same security officers inside of the bank during the bank heist in the GTA Online trailer. It only shows them for a second so it's good to have a close up of what R* made their uniforms and equipment look like. It just gets better and better! Imagine what all the varieties of police offices and sheriff's deputies will look like up close! GTALE
These armed guards are packing guns too! They look like they are pretty well trained if it weren't for the mass amounts of people running in on them. Unlike in GTA IV, there was only one security guard model, it was that heavier set guy. He often fired at people if you shot near him, and sometimes because he shot at you, police would should at him. It was very sad. Oddly enough they changed the security guards voice from GTA IV when TGBOT came out, for an unknown reason. USAPatriot
Karato2300
I just hope the police respond differently depending on the area. The countryside cops won't immediately show up like magic, but can still be a threat, whereas the ones in the city will obviously come in full force the fastest.
