I was only like a level 2 on GTA IV because I could never make money unless I did deathmatches. I leveled up in that game simply so I could get all black clothes to be as close to a cop uniform as I could. Thread has over 400 posts and over 31,000 views! I remember spending like 20 minutes or more trying to get the right police officer skin in GTA III. I hated that! Then I would get a patrol car and patrol the streets. GTA Vehicle database added this picture of the Buffalo below. This is a nice view of a sheriff cruiser in what I would assume is Blaine County, but have no idea. gtablt Posted August 15, 2013 Share Posted August 15, 2013 GTA V Online Video Breakdown in relation to Law Enforcement and Jurisdictions Today's GTA Online video showed us a lot of law enforcement, but showed us nothing new (at least after few watchings). *Confirmed Buffalo Police cars, but unlike the older LSPD units, it now says 'POLICE' on the side like the more modern Next Gen Vapid's. They also have a logo on the hood that may make them a different agency in some screens. * The online mode shows we can have garages and store vehicles we buy in it. Can we buy and customize police cars? Unknown. * Unknown still if our character can dress up as officers or other personnel. * The video showed a lot of Buffalo police cars, even outside of Los Santos city limits. Unknown if jurisdictions has as much meaning online as they do in game. * Video showed all types of police cars, older Vapid, Next Gen Vapid, and Buffalo, but did not show a Declasse Granger SUV. * Video showed white sheriff cars. * We can create our own games and missions with a map editor, which will allow us to place weapons and vehicles, etc, in certain areas we want. Might be good for online police matches. Unknown the plop limit. What else did you all notice? Lets break down some images from the video. This show near the end shows two white sheriff cruisers and two police choppers. We assume these are Los Santos County Sheriff since we now now that Los Santos County extends east to the eastern coast on the southern part of the map. The Los Santos County Government Complex is located to the east of the city (I think). Police Bravado Buffalo with the Next Gen POLICE graphics on the side. We are entering Los Santos in a time of police vehicle transition, so we will see their older units being phased out for their newer ones that say POLICE on the side only. Three Bravado Buffalo's. Rotator light bar on this pre 2013-Vapid Cruiser. Older markings. A first look at some of the heavy duty law enforcement vehicles. The thing that concerns me here is that this doesn't appear to be Los Santos, yet we see LSPD cars making this roadblock. Is this a tunnel coming out from under Los Santos International Airport? Not sure, because the screen above shows the scene after this, and they are in the countryside. LSPD cars or not? This shows us the array of vehicles we can have online and see at once. We see all LSPD patrol vehicles at once. You got Bravado Buffalo's, pre 2013 Vapid's and Next Gen Vapid's all in one picture! How cool is that? More info coming soon as I continue to break down the video! Share what you found or ideas! Great new topic. I love seeing everything we did today, and I love the breakdown you did here. I don't know what those Buffalo's are? My bet is they are the SAHP. If so, it would also make many happy to see the SAHP have a SWAT truck too. Online play, this worries the heck out of me. From what we saw today, it was the grand glorious GTA Online. But they didn't talk about many things such as probably the less glamorous modes like free roam or team deathmatch that many use for online patrols. They didn't talk about how the online mode would interact with the Social Club or how taking pictures online goes there. I do not think they have shared all these yet because they are showing what will impress people the most first, since we are close to release. My guess is we will learn more about our modes we love later on. The video today focused a lot of team work and team building online, but not player vs player. Still, I am worried about being wanted and being able to perform patrols online. I guess only time will tell. Great news day today nonetheless. GTALE Posted August 16, 2013 Share Posted August 16, 2013 I still find it interesting the police Buffalo's are the previous generation of Buffalo (like in GTA V) even though we have seen a newer buffalo variant. Kinda cool. So I've been thinking about the Buffalo cruiser. It could be a different city (though I we've seen a Buffalo before in Los Santos very small in a screen). It doesn't mean another agency can't use Buffalo's. We might just be seeing different ones for once. Maybe a different towns police department? GTA IV had it all there, didn't follow through. If they don't have the Blaine County Sheriff's Office, it would mean they once again didn't follow through. I don't think we will see agencies for areas like Rockford Hills, or Ganton, or whatever towns they have in Los Santos metro. You got to know there is a difference between city districts and different incorporated towns in the metro area not apart of LS. I'm starting to think that the SUV with the green markings might be a Blaine County SUV. The County Courthouse should have various agencies from Los Santos County. Blaine County's courthouse should be the same way. A single staff member can't just introduce new stuff even if it took him two minutes to implement, as it's become a corporate game. In the 1980s many games were done by two guys or so, so it was very easy to include new ideas in their games. That's no longer the case, sadly. Boy... Were you wrong... It is a sheriff vehicle based with the markings on the side, but no idea which county. My guess, a last minute thing Rockstar will do if they haven't made a Blaine County Sheriff car is they will reuse the white Los Santos Sheriff car and change the text from "Los Santos County" to "Blaine County."
