Any debate about this ended when I saw the game. It looks just like other cross-gen titles on current gen would: impressive effects but with some very heavy and noticable compromises. V looks great, but when you look at some elements like shadows, you see the compromise. Why do that if this was the definitive version.. why the low settings? If you notice some the flickering, that's not always aliasing. Part of it is that some of the finer details don't translate well to 720p. Giving them a bit less detail would make them appear sharper at a lower resolution, giving the game an overall tighter appearance.

 

Long story short, it looks designed to be seen in 1080p. The engine itself is clearly next-gen ready.

Online makes no sense if it's tied to current gen

V as is on next gen would blow most other launch titles out of the water.

 

PC and next gen versions are a foregone conclusion

They may possibly release the next gen console and PC versions simultaneously so theres still the November evidence about it

I think based on the trailers they may plan to make the PC version and next gen versions look like the ones on the trailers in terms of graphics

Hardware affordability aside, the consoles should be thrown out of the market, finish them off.

yeah its either they will have to adapt and change their system into something more like a PC or either get to the point where itll be considered as a obsolete product which is to my opinion its allready the case.

Console players are most likely to do that.

Most PC gamers have moved on. Most of the complaints to Rockstar are people bitching about Online not having heists and this and that.

R* is keeping the Console kids excited with their mega ultra big new BEACH BUM pack..wow relly big and important content ....3 cars , 2 guns and some haircuts. Thats definetely more important than talking to Pc gamers.
