PC Version of GTA V Discussion

Just a small detail that most peple don't know/ forget 3 of the big dogs in this forum are/ were connected directly to Rockstar Games, I won't say how I got this information or who they are/ were take it with a grain of salt or don't believe me at all, but this I know for a fact.

 

Most active members already know about it. There are not just 3 big dogs here to be frank.

Most stay inactive and come back on purpose as you correctly pointed out.

It's an official affiliation helping the Company to improve research about game, player expectations and there is a very good strategy that circles around leaks-random posts-early previews-promises-and many small details about game.

I have come across many instances since GTA 4 on this forum where our communication seems always under scanner which is not a bad thing but personally Rockstar often likes to play with us and has been doing a lot since GTA 4.

Whether they lie and at times certainly true but everything is a part of how solid the marketing succeeds in selling the game best for hefty investment.

For Rockstar, imo money comes first & the priorities of every player are scaled according to what fits the return on investment.

For that reason, PC will get his date only when they feel it's the right time for the best returns!!!... Currently they might be busy in creating that hype rather focus on giving PC a better version and so we should not hope PC version to be much different for what it is now!

But, I certainly hope that's not true and we get a much better experience but possibility for this is, well... (sigh)

.... and one more thing I respect CD Projekt RED for their dedication towards gaming and great vision for the community (Witcher 3 to be DRM free on PC) since Witcher series ..

Rockstar please give us the best game since you still got one chance for pc players (if ur reading it)

It's 100% confirmed from the developer log file that they have dedicated a lot of time and effort into making a great PC version. For once, we're not getting a crappy console port, and we're getting things like Dx11 and x64 support. And considering how fantastic the PC version of Max Payne 3 was, I think people can rest assured that GTA V's PC version will be just as good, if not better.

 

Agreed about CD Projekt RED, they're one of my most respected devs as well.

Talking about the amount of additions and improvements in game world and features.

As a PC game no doubt V will get modern enhancements but the quality of included gta elements are more important.

That needs planning, testing and working on players feedback.

I don't see that happening except GTAO will be getting this and that in future support.

But, what about the game as standalone rockstar?

Do you love playing online more than single player?

If no, then we need to show our concern for it and not support the trend of short solo campaigns, large online offering!

- someone mention it previously, about length of singleplayer/story mode in games, well, in past 2 years that is the serious problem with AAA games, they are all connected and heading for online modes to milk out the money from people when they finish singleplayer campaign which lasts for 7 or maximum 10 hours which is totally unacceptable

 

- i love good stories in games (for instance Mafia, LA Noire, Hitman, Max Payne, Splinter Cell, Assassins Creed, Whicher) but one by one is falling down for online mode at first place and unnoticable singleplayer/storyline mode, hopefully this will not hit GTA series because they are seriously number one in storyline mode

How much more proof do you need? And this isn't even Grand Theft Auto V. This is a collection of games that are old and forgotten by most console players now. Can you even begin to comprehend how massively the sales for GTA V will explode? It'll dominate Top Sellers on Steam for an EASY few MONTHS at least.

Numbers are still the same. People don't just buy random f*cking games because they're on a discount. They buy games they are interested in. And if they are interested in Grand Theft Auto IV on PC and they like it after having played it, they will be interested in Grand Theft Auto V on PC. Interested to the point of wanting to pay full price and not waiting for a discount because they enjoyed the previous game THAT much.

I have a massive steam game list and mostly cause of discounts, they're legal, it's what developer wants. I'd buy games like GTAV without discount, some games deserve no discount (for me, what I bought without discount; COD1, GTA complete edition, portal 2, half-life 2 + episodes, CSS and minecraft.) Some people deserve their money
