Because the 1 billion goes STRAIGHT to Rockstar Games as DIRECT PROFIT, right? Yep! Might as well pack their bags because 1 bil is all they need!

Please, just go.

Even though i may get warned for this, i hate people who take advantage of their anonymity on the internet. Sir, if you were right in front of me, i would gladly punch your face and make you lose some teeth.

I believe rockstar hates competition so they'll be releasing it during a month where there's no competition

To keep my mind off GTA V, I'm currently playing ACIV: Black Flag. Its amazing. Can't wait to play the PC version. It looks pretty damn good on console, so PC is going to be epic. So much fun!!

Why would they let us suffer?

They sold almost 30 f*cking milion copies, enough with the gold digging, show us the costumers that you care

Taxes. If they split the release dates they can claim it as a liability so that some of their taxable income is pushed to the next fiscal year. Take Two isn't likely to be anywhere near as profitable next year so they can slash their tax bill to ribbons.

"No plans for Destiny on PC."

Why must PC gamers ALWAYS have to deal with this kind of bullsh*t?? Ugh.....R* has been dicking us around for a long time now, but it seems like more and more developers are following suit.

"It’s a huge challenge to ship four platforms and a massive opportunity to reach a new audience," he said. "We know there are a lot of people out there asking for PC and we know that there are a lot of gamers that would willingly give us money, but what we have to do is make sure we’re focused enough to bring a good experience to any platform that we ship on. What we 100 percent are not going to do is spread ourselves so thin that it negatively harms the other platforms. So right now we have the four platforms, which is a lot to focus on."

I'm sure it'll eventually come to PC as they didn't explicitly say "no". The "no plans" is usually marketing speak for "we'll release it later". It's just incredibly frustrating as a PC gamer to have to deal with this kind of nonsense. We're continually treated like second class citizens -- it's disgusting.

Case in point, look at how Ubisoft Massive handled the PC version of "The Division". When it was demoed at E3, they didn't mention anything about a PC version, this prompted tens of thousands of PC gamers to flood their Twitter page with requests for a PC version. There was even a petition that garnered well over 100k signatures. Noticing all of the attention it was attracting, they eventually addressed the demand and said, "we'll bring it to PC if we see enough demand for it". A short time later they announced it for PC, but not until they had basically capitalized off of all of the free marketing that PC people had given them. It later became clear that they had a PC version in the works all along.

This is how the industry is treating the PC community. Having us beg for PC versions of their games while they benefit from the free marketing. it's repulsive.

stop hoping from AAA developers and instead look at the indie, this last a month I've becoming very interested in around 10 games on steam greenlight than AAA games, that's not counting the already established games that fell on the niche category that I love and that's enough of titles to keep me gaming for the entire 2014 at a potentially 1/2 the expense I'd have compared to the AAA 50-60 dollars games.

Yup, I'm paying more and more attention to indie because they are paying more attention to the PC community than any of these "AAA" studios. I'm looking forward to quite a few indie games, like the "Routine" game.

I bet Rockstar Games comes everyday to these forums with a bucket of popcorns to relax after a busy day... it works like a spa, they come here they read the comments and laugh their ass off.

Just a small detail that most peple don't know/ forget 3 of the big dogs in this forum are/ were connected directly to Rockstar Games, I won't say how I got this information or who they are/ were take it with a grain of salt or don't believe me at all, but this I know for a fact. So don't be so surprised for Rockstar doing exactly what we've been writing here since November of 2011 and specially don't be surprised that all these "leaks" aren't just random. In fact this is a very clever cheap strategy for marketing/ hype.

A thread starts here, gets active, lots of comments, more information is gathered, people post somewhere else, others take the information from here and small blogues and websites post it as news, and before you notice it's spread all over and then the big dogs also take it (IGN, Gametrailers, Gamespot...), Youtube users also take it to their channels to get more views and subscribers and in a matter of minutes the flame gets burning again like a virus and Rockstar didn't spent a dime or had any effort, fans did it all for them.

Believe it, when there are leaks like these they aren't innocent or random, heads would roll if "classified" information like this one was spilled by mistake.

Reading the Destiny developers comment again, and this is what I deduced from it in a nutshell.

"We aren't making a PC version that we'll end up putting out just a few months after our initial release, we "promise"!!. Buy our console version, though! It's the only way to play our game!"

Reminds me of how Rockstar claimed they had no plans for a PC version of L.A. Noire at first, along with other developers lying in a similar fashion to encourage, "double-dipping".

lol why would they need to be anonymous, a registered account doesn't take long to create and can vanish easy.

Also there is an interesting detail, the guy that gave the information... looking for his nick all leads to someone Russian, and even steam account and hacking rleated. But what is interesting about this user is that he created his account on the rush, didn't include any information like age or anything and didn't react to all that was said about him. I mean if someone started to say I was weird and suspicious I would say something about it, last time he was here was 7 hours ago but no reaction.

Well let's wait for the next "bone".

PS: Oh and btw when I said back there "Indiana Jones" that was because of the way he came here, came from nowhere, revealed such information and vanished.

izstas was indeed very, very suspicious. And yeah, GTA Forums is the biggest GTA related public forum on the net, of course some people from R* frequent this place, I don't see how anybody could think that's far fetched. It's like NeoGaf or Beyond3D, a lot of developers roam around in those places incognito.
