PC Version of GTA V Discussion

Could someone give me their thoughts on my theory from last page regarding Epsilon tweet. Thank you.

 

 

 

So, my conclusion is that this might be the last GTA game to be as we know it and change is coming in a year.

Something big that changes the whole outlook on the game. Maybe it turns MMO (I've read that somewhere), or something.

 

 

I'm just not sure about this conclusion.

So I guess the tract is either the game itself, or a probable Press-release-like event.

 

WHAT IF.. they're trying to say that the game will complete its release ONLY once it's released on the PC platform?? (Where it ORIGINATED, with Grand Theft Auto's initial launch on the PC in 1997??

No way he is playing the game. If so, he wouldn't be turned around, and the console would be close to the TV.

It's obviously someone else playing the PS3 version, or by the look of the box behind him, the Xbox 360 version. But what I want to know is, why is the exact same thing on a smaller screen behind him?

^^ Seems legit, lol. (MINIMUM) Intel celeron wolfdale processor as the CPU req. and GT 550m as the GPU requirement? hahaha. Core 2 Duo & 8800GT sound more suitable.

Quick update on that listing a R* graphics engineer recently made on linkedin and the currently working on a "next version of a famous IP" information.

 

Well, the person who made the listing made sure to quickly remove it after the news began to spread.

Just a guess here, but a "next version" sounds pretty specific and makes it seem like it's a game that already exists. Perhaps it's GTA V being ported over to the new consoles.

The lack of any official word on additional versions of the game could simply be an attempt to avoid losing out on current gen console sales. Keeping everything under very close wraps would be a way of ensuring this. Just imagine, people who are planning on getting the new consoles and haven't played GTA 5 yet, they might want to buy it soon on current consoles because it's not available on anything else yet, but they would probably just hold out on buying it for current gen if they found out a "next-gen" version was headed to the new consoles.

 

My guess is that R* wants to squeeze out every single penny that they can from current console version.

You do realize the E3300 is actually on par with the Core 2 Duo E4600 and marginally better than the Athlon II X2 5400+, which are both rated as a minimum.

I really hope too much hasn't changed with the files, so modders can edit things shortly after release. It's a shame there's so much more content in Online that should have been in Single Player. Hopefully modders can port it over.

 

And considering IV and V are on the same engine (unlike IV and the 3D Era games), I wonder how fast someone will port Liberty City. I really can't wait to see what kind of modding potential V has.

Even if gaming did not 100% start from pc gaming, you can not argue without PC gaming games would be nothing like they are today.

 

We can argue about the importance of both consoles and PC but you can not argue that PC is what made gaming as it is today.

dont forget that whats unique about the PC is that it can do almost anything you can think of besides gaming so its far more superior than consoles..you cant even compare.

Don't know about that. Today was a pretty good day in terms of new possible evidence and information. At least I thought it was. The day before yesterday, and most of the week before that, however, were pretty slow and gloomy.
