Someone please mail R* and ask them at what time today will they announce the PC version. I cant keep on checking the 'wire' or this forum every few minutes. I have work to do.

I got tired of Newswire so I looked for a way to get News Feed directly in my desktop, I've set it to updates each minute and for Newswire feed only and to ignore news with more then 5 days and I can set it in any position I want in the desktop and when there are news I'll see it. This is how it looks like, I've set it for the bottom but can be set on top, left or right, you can set opacity, speed along other stuff:

As for GTA, looks like Rockstar is almost done with GTAO issues, it was said last week that this week the new update 1.04 would come (possibly today/ tomorrow) and with it many of the issues will get solved and a Cheaters Pool will be added for those that exploited/ cheated in the game:

So if Rockstar is already in the game management part and not worried with bugs, it means the next update could be the heists content they mentioned before, so it's possible the GTAO problems are almost solved.

As for GTA PC announcment, we don't know how the deal was or if there was a deal, today is the end of the first month since GTAV was launched, the announcement didn't come today but it can come next week or the next... there is no way we can know that unless someone leaks that information, maybe Rockstar wants a closed door meeting with the press before going public. or maybe they ruled out 2013 launch already because they are done with the profits for this fiscal year and want them for the next one coming. Or maybe the latest news of WD being delayed, made them rethink that now is the perfect timing, with all the hype, the coming holidays and the end of the year when people got some spared money. Or WD got the information that they were planning to release it now and thoght it wuld be better to avoid such conflict because they would lose more then gain.

We need to keep our eyes open for any clues or hints, but we can't expect anything and feel disappointed about it. We know for sure the version exists and it's not being ported so the usually delay isn't needed because they don't need to still code it, we know at worst case scenario it can be like before and launch in May of next year like they've stated before it was the new best window frame and was their plan for LAN and GTAV, but maybe the fact that in that window frame there will be huge expected titles like Titanfall, The Crew, Watch Dogs, Thief 4 and maybe Witcher 3 or other titles. The next months from the start till the end of the year of 2014 will be crowded with high quality titles and there will be a lot of competition for everyones money, so the smarter thing to do is release it without competition and then keep the maintenance of their current titles and study the best options to keep making profit.

But this is Rockstar, so we should expect the unexpectable. Worst case scenario Spring/ Summer 2014, anything before that will be a pleasant surprise.

I've just written a ticket to Rockstar Support with a screen of the social club page, as if you use 8 as the platformid, which stands for the pc, you get an error when trying to access the career page.

Let's see what they'll respond.

1. They must keep continue to publish "hit" title to compete successfully, that's what i mean GTA series on PC must always to be published (since gta is root of pc gaming since gta1), gta5 absolutely will released on pC.

 

2. GTAV PC get delays, probably because of adaptation to the newer HW/software technologies and additional cost. That's mean a good news, pc or next-gen console must have more graphical advanced technology(DX 11 stuff, etc) than current console has.

It's an event for games in general. There will be PS4 and XBONE for people to play. But I don't think R* it's going to announce V. I was checking BGS stuff and didn't see anything about R*, well, untill now.

That's why this is interesting to me, why would he be there on BGS for a few days and hell, why would they advertise it if nothing is gonna happen. This looks to me like they're gonna promote GTA V PC version there. The time to talk about GTA V console version is over imho, it's already 1 month after the release.

Maybe by adding up the total number of players of certain AAA games like BF and COD.

I'm sure they added in MMOs into that as well. But there are a lot of MMOs, so I think the number might be higher than 600 million.

Remember that Call of Duty was originally a PC exclusive. They probably didn't include Call of Duty 3 since that was a console exclusive.

By the way, Rockstar Toronto(they were porting GTA IV, EFLC and making MP3 for PC) were searching for Animator a week ago.

I'm probably really late to the party, but they found the GTA5.exe profile in the latest AMD Catalyst drivers.

8 billion dollars ain't peanuts. I can't provide you the exact sources right but if you use a little math there it takes millions of copies to earn 1B. There's like few hundred thousand people playing BO2 right now on Xbox 360 alone while there's like only 10k players or so on PC.

Lol the people over at nvidia are idiots. The Bond numbers are way off. They forgot to adjust for inflation. The correct number is 13B
