But that doesn't strike me as good news for us. They wouldn't have given a sh*t if a PC announcement was incoming this week, or even next week

 

I do find it strange though that the redaction takes place on the eve of GTA V's one month birthday though >.>

Well, this could all be some marketing play from Rockstar.

 

A well timed NVidia slip, HP talking about owning your friends in GTAO this month.

 

Rockstar also included PC and NG files in the console versions games, and they knew perfectly well that the second we got the game we would be digging in the files. They knew it, yet kept that sh*t there.

iFruit app containing PC files, while it still isn't even available to Androids.... There is a huge list of all these really weird findings and slip ups by well known companies and they are all seeming a little fishy.

 

The more I think about all this the more it is all sounding like free/cheap advertising.

Thats right its Free Cheap advertisment but in the Case of hp its no advertisment for GTA , no Way Rockstar promote their Game via HP . It is HP who try to gain Attention for their New pc And Take the Chance to get it trough GTA .

 

Altough i Really Hope to hear an announcement tomorrow

Well, if I was going to release a game like GTA V on PC where they know there is going to be a large following I would want to be the one making the official announcement. Rockstar want's to be the official announcement. Doesn't mean they didn't have anything to do with the leak of info or not. That we will never know, but they would have made them redact their statement even if the game was getting announced tomorrow or a few hours after the redactment.

 

Why would you want to have someone else (HP too, of all companies) make the news of GTA V coming to PC before you do? Ya know?

You don't know that. Yes HP is a meh company now, but it doesn't change the fact that if that gets seen on Twitter, how many millions of other people will see it. I know jack sh*t about twitter but if it is anything like Sound Cloud you can like re-post someones post. Meaning that 150 people subscribed to HP's twitter probably re-tweeted or whatever its called that news to their friends who did the same thing, and the cycle continues.

 

Plus with HP, they wouldn't have to pay as much for this fake advertisement of making them make a public mistake when compared to big named companies. Again this is all just theory, as I said in a previous post, we will never know what the true cause for all these leaks and strange happenings was. But it all seems just far too fishy. I don't remember anything like this or even close to this kind of sh*t happening for any games release on any platform. PC gaming is the largest platform without a doubt and its just getting larger, so maybe Rockstar is trying to find new marketing strategies (they do love their money).

 

We just can't know for certain, but neither argument can be considered invalid. There is a valid argument for both our stances and it will likely remain that way unless one of us gets hired at Rockstar and gets filled in on the whole deal lol.
