I'm not surprised to be honest. Disappointed, but not surprised.

f*ck you Rockstar.

@Albert Kike

Man, I hope this information is wrong...If ins't, I hope that Q1 of 2014 means January early.

F*ck you Rockstar! Common! At least an annoucement!

Rockstar are greedy as f*ck. Yes, unlike other AAA developers, they are trying to make excellent game and don't hesitate to delay the release date if needed.

But they want all money they can make - selling game on consoles first, thus reducing the number of pirated copies. They take money from Microsoft and Sony for exclusivity of the game, and for those consoles, which will be sold because of the game.

I'm sure that Microsoft and Sony offered money for the exclusivity to many developers of AAA games. Assasin's Creed for example. But only Rockstar can agree to delay release of the game on PC for 6 months.

They take money from those who'll buy this game twice. And after that they'll take remaining money from PC gamers.

And Rockstar gives zero f*cks, what you think about it, what you feel.

They're greedy because they don't want their game being downloaded for free? Um ok...

Another console person that is talking here about so called 'piracy' on the PC platform? From now on I'm f*cking ignoring every single person that's talking about this sh*t, it's f*cking annoying. There's definitely no piracy on the consoles, right.

Calm down dear, it's just a videogame.

What makes you think I'm angry? Actually after such response I'm beginning to want to tell you "go f*ck yourself"

Yes, they are greedy. Days ahead of the release GTA V was torrented, in fact it is one of THE most torrented games on console right now. So much for console...

Devs still make alot of money, pirated or not. The industry is not crushed idiot. As PC gamers i can safely say, if you're going to pirate GTA V . HIGH 5. Who buys long-since stale, badly ported crap?

Well I guess, on a forum such as this, you just have to get used to it.

If you don't like it, don't participate in a discussion, because people are bound to not agree with your views.

I might not know what I'm talking about, but your 180 degree turn is amusing to say the least..

Amusing? Don't see why. I've NEVER claimed anything I said was 100% true, or fact. Never. If I made a "180 degree turn" it's because I follow the evidence where ever it leads, regardless of the outcome of the situation. I'm not dogmatic nor am I bigoted. And it's not about you agreeing me or not, it's with the way you approach each discussion that gets irritating. And apparently, I'm not the only one who feels this way about you, so......

Anyways, I'm not going to drag this any further. .

It's shoud be obvious for any adequate person, that piracy rates on PC are much bigger than on consoles

Another great example of ignorance. The main reason for delay is not piracy, but contracts for exclusivity with Microsoft and Sony.

There is no single AAA game that would be delayed to 6 months on PC.

"On the other hand, this company (Rockstar) is literally lying to every PC gamer in their face right now."

They are not lying. They stated "we have nothing to share". That isn't a lie, even if the PC version is completely done, it is THEIR game, their IP, and as such they are well within their rights to release it, or to share information about their IP at their leasure.

They have no obligation whatsoever to tell us that the game is done, or in development or any combination you can think off.

I don't get it, why do you think this company has any obligation to you or other pc gamers ? If they don't even bother with a pc version, that would 100% be their choice.

Maybe you should stop talking about C* and show a little respect for a company that has released some of the best games money can buy.

That they don't bow for you is tough luck, nothing more and nothing less.

While most of your post is correct, the last part is really dumb sounding. Asking for atleast a bit of honesty is not asking for them to bow to us, we want some respect as customers and they aren't giving us any. They are acting like a typical company.

Actually, you did talk about evidence right left and center, and completely disregarded other people's reservations about the quality or the relevance of the evidence.

That's ok in my book, I guess the wish for a speedy release does have a tendency to ignore other stuff that point to the opposite.

Please don't get me wrong, I do not pretend to know when R* will release this game, but I do try to point out that they do have a history in all of this. It's a once bitten twice shy kind of thing. Their history cannot be ignored.

About being irritating, well I guess anyone on here just has to live with that, this is how I express myself.

Yes they are acting like a typical company, and to the best of my recollection, they have always done that. My point is, I love their games, but hate their attitude. But I also know that nothing I do will change that, and at the end of the day, their games remain absolutely brilliant, so I kind of ignore the attitude.

The ignorance of some people.. Console peeps are hacking in multiplayer on CONSOLES right now.. google youtube it has some nice vids..

If you are talking about singleplayer mods: its whats keeping the game alive 5 years after the game is out..

Downloaded for free? Console discs were on torrent sited 4 days before the game was released.. and dont tell me its hard to pirate on console because everybody with a brain will flash it for you for 20$

and let me quote myself.. I've written this ONE page back:

Stop about the piracy crap!! Nobody cares about piracy.. The only thing that matters are sales.. Sales have been rising on PC so fast in the past years.. Many people even download a pirated game and like it so much they actually buy it.. Others try the game and performance of it on their machine.. Some cant afford the game anyway, and devs care more about people playing the game than selling it.. Some just pirate because they can.. I alone downloaded a pirate copy of GTAIV at least 10 times and i own a copy.. I just dont want to deal with the drm and scratching my disc (you need a play dics in while playing wtf?)..

Tldr: piracy doesnt matter, sales do and sales are rising...

I wish the whole thing could just get leaked. That will teach them a lesson they will never forget because Take-Two probably haven't even been by C* told to start printing the PC version. A leak would devastate them and i wish it happens.

At the time when GTA V PC is release, this topic has reached 2000 pages.

You can guess how long it will take if it will not be released this year.

While most of your post is correct, the last part is really dumb sounding. Asking for atleast a bit of honesty is not asking for them to bow to us, we want some respect as customers and they aren't giving us any. They are acting like a typical company.

The people who play bulldog defending these companies, are just as repulsive as the people who mindlessly bash them. I'm just speaking my mind and exercising my right as a paying customer to express discontent I have with the way they treat a certain sector of their fan base. And I'm far from being the only one who shares these sentiments.

These companies wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for the paying customers who keep them in business.

Below is one example of how they've been responding to people inquiring about a PC version/announcement for months now.

Since we haven’t announced anything about the possibility of a PC version of GTAV, we don't have any details to share with you. We have banned you from commenting for 24 hours for repeatedly breaking this rule. Any further transgressions will result in longer bans and possible permanent suspension of your commenting privileges.

Beating around the bush continually, while implying to their customers that a version of their game may not even exist yet on the platform they're inquiring about, when it evidently does, is plain and simply, dishonest no matter how you cut it or try to justify it.

The paying customer, who simply wants clarification about a product or basic information, should not tolerate such shoddy behavior. Such practices reflect negatively on the entire company. And while, no, they don't have to "bow down" to their customers, they still have the duty as a company to maintain professionalism by properly addressing any issues, complaints, request or inquiries their customers may have. Continually giving out deceptive responses to customers making a common inquiry is not professional in the slightest. Nor is banning them, or threatening to ban them merely for requesting basic information.

R* is guilty of doing both.

No company posses free reign in how they act towards a designated consumer base just because it's their game or product. The latter does not give them the right to treat their customers anyway they please. And the fact of the matter is that their products are specifically created with the intent of selling them to a consumer base, i.e. the general public. Companies are expected to satisfy their customers by providing proper service and treating them with dignity, customers are then expected to reciprocate these actions by supporting them with their monies and keeping their asses in business

Asking for a little bit of respect and clarity on certain things, is not asking for much. It's a basic principle.

I hoe we can find a way to get all the GTAO features available in single player on PC.

I don't like to be forced to get GTAO if I want all those nice features and stuff to buy and get etc.

It is ridicolous you have to have GTAO if you want those features.

while it's disrespectful, it cannot be said as a lie, since the reality confirmed that there is no end product for the PC version, whether or not we consumers have obtained leaked evidences about the availability of the PC version is irrelevant.

think about it, can you accuse BMW for lying because they don't sell a prototype car displayed at a motor show? the product was there, even perhaps available for test drive, yet BMW decided not to sell it, if you asked them the answer will just exactly the same.

stop deluding yourself.
