So earlier today I was reading NVIDIA's CEO earnings call transcript, -- where Chris Eveden stated that GTA V would come to PC's in the Fall of this year-- and I noticed something that was interesting to me. But before I continue, I'll post the actual statement here first to refresh everyone's mind:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

nvidia11.png:

Ok, now that's out of the way, here's what I found interesting:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

nvidia10.png

Now why did I find this interesting, you may ask? Well, firstly is the fact that this statement was made during an important quarterly earnings conference call. This wasn't a simple, one on one journalistic interview The senior director was the first to speak here, and in attendance were also the president and CEO of NVIDIA as well as the intern chief financial officer of NVIDIA, so obviously some very important people were at this conference -- definitely highly influential and powerful people within the industry to say the least.

Now to the point; if you read what I highlighted, you can see that Chris Eveden, the senior director for NVIDIA, made it very clear that none of the statements or content of this conference could be reproduced or published without NVIDIA's consent first. Now this is very important for a couple of reasons. The first being that Chris Eveden later went on to make that statement about GTA V coming to PC this Fall. If he knew it was a fallacious statement, then WHY did he allow this content to be published for general public viewing that same day/hours later? And WHY did the CEO and chief financial officer not quickly correct him during the conference? If he personally made a mistake, one of those two could have quickly notified him of that and told him to correct it right then and there, but they didn't.

The fact that no retraction of his statement was made until a full day later really stinks to high heavens. It seems as if Rockstar got word of this by next morning and ordered them to retract the statement immediately thereafter. In my mind, this was a classic Freudian slip and confirms that they DO have privileged knowledge of GTA V for the PC platform, which isn't at all surprising considering his stature in the industry and the likely possibility that NVIDIA probably has a partnership with Rockstar to optimize the game for their drivers or provide proprietary support like TXAA or something else.

I know this information is from August, but when you consider everything else that has transpired since then, i.e., the discovery of the build report demonstrating the PC version was already developed, the xml PC references, the iFruit app PC asset files, the two MTA devs who are in contact with Rockstar devs confirming a November release date, and then the scores of online retailers, including the retailer giant, Amazon, all listing dates for a Fall release, then it really does appear to all come together very nicely and matches up equally as well with NVIDIA's slip of the tongue at the conference.

Found Keyboard Keys in Font_EFIGS files of GTA V

(File named as font_lib_efigs2 is backup of original file named font_lib_efigs.gfx for research purpose)

I first took Legal (non pirated)Xbox 360 files on PC for Research from my friend

Then I figured out.how to open GFX File

I took hex editor and first 3 character from gfx to fws

and saved as .swf

Then opened swf with SWF Decompiler and found these Sprites in it

Ofcourse It is Obvious that GTA V will Release on PC but just another proof for it

Great find. And yet another solid proof we can add to the mountain of evidence pile.

This is, along with the many other PC files and reports found within the consoles discs, are irrefutable proof that the PC version began development long ago. I can confirm that the PC build of GTA IV did not even exists until after the console versions of that game were completed and released. How do I know this? Well, I did the very same thing you did -- I got me legal copies of both the PS3 and 360 versions of GTA IV and I thoroughly scanned the contents inside of them. I could not find ONE single reference or mention to a PC build of the game. With GTA V consoles, the 360 disc has several mentions of the PC build, and the PS3 disc is literally filled with them.

I'll post a screen of something I came across while rummaging through the PS3 disc contents of GTA IV. It made me LOL. C* devs have funny ways of telling themselves what to do and what not to do.

Edit: sh*t, I hope I don't get legal problems for posting this crap. I know the disc contents are protected. Don't sue me, C*, please.

Exactly. And this is why I laugh at those who say there can't be a PC release without proper marketing first. It's simply comical. The hype and anticipation for a PC version is already through the goddamn roof.

The PC has a market already and it doesn't need serious marketing but they should get their sh*t together and announce the PC Version already

Why would that be comical, why would you not want to point out the advantages and special features in the pc version of the product to your potential customers ? Why would you not want to maximize your profits and convince people that bought the game on consoles to buy it again on pc ?

The bottom line is that you keep neglecting how Rockstar might see this whole thing, they are not necessarily looking for a speedy release, as they want to maximize their profits. The reason why you are negelecting this is because you are ony looking at it from your own perspective.

I love it how a guy that works for Intel says HE believes that GTAV is coming to PC (everybody knew that since it was announced for the consoles) and now everybody is saying that INTEL said GTAV is coming to PC (like the Nvidia statement) when in fact he stated his personal opinion.. lmao..

Like the Nvidia statement? Are you aware of what you just said? These two statements are completely different and not comparable in the slightest.

Intel Director:

"At least with Grand Theft Auto, I don't think it'll be console exclusive very long. But that's what happens when you have a brand new launch with two companies that have lots of money trying to make sure they have content,"

vs.

Nvidia Investor:

The PC market is evolving. As entry level laptops face pressure from tablets. Yet sales of specialty PCs like gaming systems and work stations continue to grow. The disparity reflects how consumers use these different classes of PCs. Many consumers look for PC as a general purpose device they can use for browsing, email, social media video. But much of this can be better served by a tablet. In contrast, gamers are preparing their systems for a strong roster of games coming this fall, including blockbuster franchises, such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grand Theft Auto V and Assassin’s Creed IV.

Now, whether this is just a case of the Intel director simply giving his personal opinion on the matter, or solid insight from a person who knows the industry much better than you or I do, I can't say. But I think it's safe to assume that he is in a better position to comment on the matter than people in the general public are. Am I saying he knows something we don't about GTA V PC release? No. But, I'm not saying he doesn't know either. We simply can't know from the way he worded his statement. For all we know, he might have been treading very carefully with the way he worded his comment so as not to expose information that he may have been made aware of..... who knows.

Either way, the only similarities int these two statements is that they both mention GTA V and other platforms apart from the PS3/360 in the same sentence. Apart from that, they differ from each other greatly.

It is widely know that Nvidia has partnerships with many publishers and companies in the gaming industry, for which they support with proprietary features and driver optimizations. There's also the fact that the Nvidia statement was made during a quarterly earnings report, and not just a random person to person conversation. The Nvidia investor explicitly mentioned, and without hesitation that GTA V was coming to PC this Fall. The fact that Nvidia retracted this statement a day later only further solidfies the idea that Nvidia probably has a partnership going on with Rockstar for GTA V.

I mean, why wait a day to correct a "mistake" in a statement that you know will be publicized that same day? Why not correct it on the spot, as most people do when they've realized they've made a fallacious statement?

You simply don't mention a title like GTA V among other titles which your company is already providing proprietary features and support for (Assassin's Creed IV, COD Ghosts) along with a release window for it, if there's not something going on behind the scenes with your company and that publisher. It just not possible to make a mistake like that.

If you believe that the Nivida statement was simply a mistake, then you are naive.

did not read the whole thing because you didnt read mine.. I said everywhere you look in the internet everybody is saying that Intel said its coming soon when in fact one guy that works for Intel stated that.. his personal opinion.. but everywhere i see this they talk like Intel has inside knowledge.. I have not said that.. you didnt reed my post..

That post specifically talks about "other GTA online updates and announcements"

So not sure how people read into this as announement not pertaining to GTA Online, the quote says so specifically.

That pretentious dubstep was pretty annoying, lol.

Aside from that, what is this supposed to be exactly? The tone reminds me of District 9, strangely.
