You're in no right to talk like this in the PC thread, from what I see, you're playing on Xbox, you've played V already and you've been playing IV aswell, you propably don't know how PC gamers are feeling since you didn't have to wait for this game like us, the PC gamers and saying "You've waited 5-6 years, wait a few more months" is kind of skumbag thing to say since you're already playing it. As I said, you don't know how we are feeling. Ubisoft atleast did mention PC "Tom Clancy's The Division" petition while it had only 50k signs and they've announced the PC version of "The Division" at the 140k signs. GTA V PC petition got 600k + it has even Community Manager involved in this and still nothing from Rockstar. I can imagine why people are so pissed off at Rockstar, you propably can't.

Totally true. It is really frustrating so many console gamers can play the game and we PC gamers are left in the darkness.

I mean Online and V have some chance to make servers in bad condition but what would announcment hurt (sure it takes some server resources but not much)

GTAV for PC is just like Higgs Boson, we all know it's out there, but we need a solid proof for that.

I find it a bit odd how those hilariously blatant bug reports found in the code are somehow labelled as flimsy speculation.

 

It's all assumptions, for sure, I understand. But we aren't exactly clutching at straws just yet. It doesn't get more obvious than having "PC" in brackets, lol. And of course the mentions of DX11 and such (Yes, this could also indicate a next-gen version. But in either outcome, next-gen version = PC version as well).

The way you put this, it would read to me as they are claiming to close the gap from console games to Pc games,(implying pc games are further ahead) maybe the wording was a little bit different ?

 

In any case, even if they did promise (in correct wording) that they are closing the release gap between console and Pc games, they haven't (by far actually) not broken that promise. IV console release was 7 monhts before the PC release. V's console release was 3 weeks ago. So they have another 6 monhts at least to make good on their alleged promise.

Yes, I play on an Xbox, but I also have a PC and play games on that. I have kids and a full time job so to be honest waiting around for a video game is pretty low on my list of priorities.

 

Let me address a few of the comments you made though.

 

i) No, I don't know how YOU (it isn't PC gamers, it's YOU) feel. From the sounds of it you think Rockstar are doing you a personal disservice by operating against your wishes. However, as Rockstar don't know or care about you as an individual, I struggle to see how you can feel so affronted.

 

ii) Yes, I AM already playing it. That's because I don't limit myself to one machine for enjoying a particular medium of entertainment. Guess what? I have a CD player and LP turntable. I have a Kindle and a collection of books. I have a smartphone and a landline. I have multiple TVs. Why should I become a fanboy about one particular thing?

 

iii) Learn some gosh darn patience. Your generation (and I may be incorrect in assuming your age) seems very impatient about this. The game has taken several years to develop so a few more months should make no difference when you've been waiting for so long.

 

iv) If you can't learn patience then just get the game on a different medium. Unless you are limited financially (and you may be) then you have the option to play the game now.

 

v) Rockstar don't HAVE to answer any petition, they won't break the law by concentrating on more important things such as making sure any bugs or glitches in the SP campaign and in GTAO are patched.

 

vi) Rockstar are busy doing the above things so that it's all in place when the PC version comes out! So you PC fanboys don't have to moan and bitrch like all the console fanboys have been since GTAO came out.

 

 

The game WILL come out on PC but it will seem to come out QUICKER if you just let Rockstar get on with it and stop obsessing over it.

Personally, I think it's age. He isn't saying two different possibilities, he's saying there will be one but it isn't available yet. That's a pretty clear statement of fact.
