That's more than enough for me. I will upgrade GPU next month or in December (thinking R9 280 or 270, depends on how much will it actually cost), nothing else.

Then in 2015 I will build entire system. 1366 socket is kinda old. So I will stay on Win7 till then, I can run BF4 Beta fine now after todays update. No more 100% CPU usage and GPUs is actually at 95% and little spikes.

 

Anyway, GTA V will support DX9 and some DX11 as we saw, so I will be good with that game, whenever it comes

Because core i7's and GTX 770s aren't cheap.

Look at Crysis 3 and Arma 3. Even on low settings they still look amazing, and with a mid range Nvidia 6 or 7 series card, you can run them on high settings and still have amazing graphics.

I hope this will be the same of Watch Dogs.

I am not complaining, but I simply pointed out that a 3.5 year old GPU card is being made obsolete, whilst 7 year old consoles are still able to play the game. That at least puts some of the talk that PC gaming is cheaper than console gaming into the right context.

well for a game which uses the Max payne 3 engine... i dont think it's gonna be that powerful ! MP3 works in my friend's i5 2450M + 6Gb ram + gt525M @ 1366x768 @ high settings else shadows + DX 11 @ 50fps +

 

I play GTA4 on my i5 2410, 4GB RAM and HD6470M at 720p low, I get up to 30fps.

I am planning to buy i5 4200U, and GT750M, so I hope it will run GTA V and WD at medium, 768p, and these old games at high.

 

try to get another laptop : (y510p of lenovo) you will get a quad CPU which is gonna help in new games !

Retailers (I think it was Amazon) leaked Call of Duty: Ghosts whit the exact name when nobody even knew what the next CoD game was being called.. at the time everyone's guess was another Modern Warfare but Amazon leaked it.. dont know how much sooner than the official announcement..

Yeah. It was a few months in advance, if i'm not mistaken. And they leaked information about another COD before that as well. When Amazon puts up a date, which is what Amazon Spain did yesterday before they quickly removed it, you can pretty much rest assured that the date is real or very close. As for the people who have messaged or chatted with customer support from some of those foreign shops, I'd be very surprised if those people knew anything beyond the name of the game. The people who have direct contact with the distributor don't work at customer support LOL.

It's not that.

 

There is too sudden jump to those specs. We had games that barely used 2GB of RAM. Suddenly Watch_Dogs goes out and says "FU all, me needs 6GB!". That is too sudden jump from standard 2GB to 6GB AT MINIMUM. Too quick. This is the first game that uses more than 4GB RAM. There are fewer games that use 3GB Memory, but still it's too big jump.

 

Also full DX11.1 for W8 only? Looks like Micro$oft monopoly is acting up really badly again.

 

I hope that Gabe Newell and SteamOS will put end to this. I hope they do. Newell knows what gamers want, that's why he and Valve is one of the fewer companies that open themselves and their future software/hardware to users, to allow modifications to satisfy their needs. Valve knows what it wants to achieve, and it does achieve that not by monopolising everything, but instead, opening themselves to audience and allow freedom. Steam Hardware is nothing more than Steambox, but in skin of PC. That's why I like Valve. That's why I admire them, instead of making closed software/hardware, they open it and allow freedom to users to upgrade, install whatever they want, or change it how they wish it to be.

 

Gabe Newell is I'd say:

"The good uncle of PC Gaming and gamers", unlike M$ who does everything to force you to jump on new Windows when THEY FEEL LIKE IT, by limiting currently released operating systems to older versions of neccessary software.

Not really. An online shop has listed GTA V for PC and has a release date of Nov. 12th.

 

That seems an impossible release date at this point though. November feels a bust all together now perhaps maybe mid December?

 

 

Not at all. Not If you've been keeping up with all of the recent evidence, then you'd know why it's definitely not out of the question.

 

Also, people, remember that Amazon France has a product number already in their system for GTA V PC, this strongly implies that they may have already been contacted by the distributor.

I bought BF3 used for PS3. I didn't get a code with it, and I wanted to play online, so I went to EA's site and told them what I did and what I wanted. And lo and behold the guy I was chatting with gave me a code to play. People talk sh*t about EA, but at least they saved me $10 that day

 

$10 I didn't have btw. I spent all my cash on that one game. Yes. I'm poor.

I always wondered why does people take so much time to make up fakes, i just read an "interview" in an spanish site that said they interviewed C* and said that Discs were basically useless and were the cause of pop-in too, and just for the lols they put GTA V into a diskette and it ran flawlessly. Lol.

In all honestly, that will never happen. Rockstar ambition was bigger then the real possibilities. The current gen consoles aren't suited for a cloud server that will keep evolving. They want it but they won't get it, simply because it's not possible, they aren't designed for that. Consider the released GTA V as a beta or a demo of what will come later. GTA V is a next gen title dowscaled to fit in current gen consoles and for that they had to narf the graphics, the content and the Gameplay, exactly like Watch Dogs is doing and any titles being released for current and next gen.

 

This might sound harsh but you'll see it is true, it was either this or not releasing it for current gen... and that wasn't an option specially with all the money they would lose.

 

As for GTAV release this or next year, I think they didn't make their mind yet, they are still studying if now it's the right time or if they should do it later avoiding the competition. Also looks like the new coming games will be a stunt to increase hardware sales and I can see Rockstar with an agreement with a GPU company to release the game when their new GPU is out and claiming it has new advantages over the last versions. Looks like Ubisoft is doing it, specially for Windows Blue (aka 8.1) reason for the extra RAM, that will be used with the new DX 11.2:

Any DX11 card will be able to do it, but in order to have this you need Windows 8, and this is the stunt M$ needs to make people switch from 7. There are so many possibilities, that we have no way to know.
