Well there's no official system requirements as for as I can tell.

http://digitalbattle.com/watch-dogs-system-requirements/

This site seems to give at least some realistic idea to them though.

The amount of RAM and the minimum GPU cards seem a bit low. At the least it would be Nvidia 8000 series, AMD 4000 series, and 4-8 GB of RAM for Minimum and Recommended.

Sorry for the off-topic but here are the system req for watch dogs:

Operating System: Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1) or Windows 8

Note that we only support 64 bit OSs.

DVD-ROM: DVD-ROM Dual Layer

Hard Drive Space: 20 GB

Sound: DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card with Latest Drivers

Internet: Broadband connection and service required for multiplayer mode

Minimum Specification

GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 1 GB Video RAM

CPU: Quad core

RAM: 4GB

example 1

GPU: NVidia GTX 460

CPU: Intel Core2 Quad Q6600

example 2

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 5770

CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9750

---------------------------------------------------------------

Recommended Specification

GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB Video RAM

CPU: Eight core

RAM: 8GB

example 1

GPU: NVidia GTX 560 ti

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770

example 2

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7850

Why should that be important to us? It is completely offtopic.

you guys stop it or i will start reporting.. you are writing the same stuff for two pages now..

They are discussing the current issue at hand, one party of this argument refuses to read the build logs and actually see that they mention the PC version of the game multiple times, remember this is just one build log, from a specific time frame, for all we know, the PC version's big bugs could have been fixed back in 2011? whe just dont know

personally i prefer the constant updates, it keeps this thread from going dead

yes that last sentance just happened.

The problem is that out of all the posts one party says "he only cares for the official announcement" and the other one is saying that there is a lot of PC evidence in the dev log.. both trying to say their point but they are a bit off sync.. we all know there are a lot of evidence in the logs but C* has the final word in all of this so they are both right and yet they need 3 pages to write the same stuff over and over in those 3 pages..

I really hope GTAV is not so demanding.

Is it just me or are the majority of pc gamers just angry people in general?

Quite the opposite to be honest.

As someone who is active in the PC-Community since.....well....since Fred Flintstone bought his birdfueled one.....I can safely say that console-flamewars are worse than everything Ive ever seen on PC. And the amount of Teabaggers in concolegames is like 50% of all active players.

Second problem is, the average age is without a doubt at least 10 years younger on console than on PC, which makes perfect sense, since a PC is like 10 times more expensive than a console.

and by the way,do they have certain days in the week that they post news and stuff like that?

I think it's gonna be awhile before they announce anything. December at the earliest. GTA IV came out at the end of April in 08, the PC version was announced at the beginning of August. Then came out in December.

But we cannot know what about now.

As the leaked builds from the Xbox 360 show that the earliest mention of the word 'PC' was in a build from June 2012,that means that it has been a year already for the PC version development.

That's a lot of time, and in my opinion,we should hear about the PC version soon from R* .

Yea, but they have said that they will keep the gap between PC and console releases smaller from now on.

So, comparing with previous release dates doesn't matter. Unless they screw us over. Pls don't, R*.

One can only hope for a smaller gap. As long as the game is properly optimized unlike IV was. I skipped that over until getting the current rig I have now.

And out of boredom I decided to make this. I would have printed it out and slipped it in my Max Payne 3 case then taken a pic but my paper wasn't long enough. I also couldn't find a scan of the actual back of the case. For the most part that's how I think the case would look. And if anyone feels like printing it out, here's a high res one.

a handful of New artworks have been released, maybe there's something big imminent?

What kind of artwork? And where?

Take a look in the News Section,as I cannot copy links on this damn phone thereby can't directly link you to the topic.

Thanks. Found them.

Could it be that some of those are actually loading screen artworks for the PC version, maybe? Because GTA IV on Consoles and GTA IV on PC had completely different loading art, if I remember correctly.

EDIT: For anyone wanting to see them right here;

(Not using [img} on purpose to make it easier to scroll down).

Oh my f*ck. I'm getting excited

Damn I hate people that defend R* or any other company. THey probaly never worked in their life... So if they bought a car and it didn't work or was something wrong with it, they would be OK with it... it is same thing. You buy something and it should work as intended not some half ass broken sh*t. People don't get that either because they never earn any money on their own or are just idiots.

Many? No. Few? Yes. I personally don't know anybody with 32bit system, not even in company I work.
And it is time to go 64bit, you don't lose anything with it! You can run 32bit software and games perfectly if not better than on native 32bit system.

I sort of see why. Well, they make really good games. The only games I even bother playing for thousands of hours. But their tactics are terrible as well as low support regarding us pc gamers. I got no intentilns whatsoever to buy a console and I do sort of expect R* to publish the pc version soon. It's almost like...racism that Rockstar is practicing right now.

(Please R*, for the love of god, just release the damn gam already. Cannot stand the wait anymore!!!)

Also, if they release it this year, it's most likely gonna be when I have exams...

I do understand that, but it seems the way people do things nowdays. They hurry to deliver the product even if it is not complete cause the market demand it, so they launch knowing that they will need to fix it later. It has changed sometime ago, dunno where, but it has changed.

64-bit is quite a norm for new systems today as most have at least 4GB of RAM.

What I am more concerned about are VGA and CPU requirements. I mean, what about people who play games on notebooks, do you need to buy Alienware just to play Watch Dogs.

I hope that new Haswell i5 ULV and GT 750M will be able to play on medium.

You sure you know what you are talking about? It's easy to test a car, or a computer, it's quite entirely different, to test online servers, for a car they can give a run, for a computer too, but you cannot log in on your servers from 20 million different consoles, they have to prepare as best they can by estimates, and technical knowledge, but until they are tested practically, when some 10million+ people try to log in at the same time, they have no way of knowing for sure.

Also, what has earning money to do with your comment? It's like you just wanted to include that, to feel superior to kids/teenagers who buy the game from their parent's money, but in truth you just made yourself an idiot, because that bit of the comment is irrelevant.

I was looking up benchmark tests comparing different CPUs, and apart from games that use ridiculous amounts of CPU processing like Total War, the CPU will not make much difference where frame rates are relatively low, say under 60 frames. Where the differences started to show (at least in these benchmarks I saw) was in framerates above say 90 or so.
