I'm start to think that things are getting out of control of R*. They didnt expecting too many people on GTAO when they release the game back in 17/9. Like Silver Wolf said, they were expecting making 1 billion for the first year! They did it in 3 DAYS! I mean, they're not holding the PC version because of money. There is some strategy behind all of this...I still believe the current GTAO is a beta version, and the PC and next gen versions will be the definitive ones.

 

Let's hope they not delay our beloved PC version to improve and enhance the game experience, based on the problems that they're facing now. Good for us that Rockstar doesn't learn with their mistakes! We deserve at least an annoucement!

 

 

Actually they made 1 bln in 3 days because they care about money, and because they released the game on consoles only. Obviously they would make less money if they would release the game on consoles and PC simultaneously. How much less - that's another question.

 

They'd make $1 bil and more in one day with PC. Stop your stupid "piracy" s**t talk.

I just downloaded the latest version of the iFruit app from the iTunes store and ALL of the PC files are still there. The sheer fact that these files exist, along side the same file names for xbox 360 and ps3, bodes very, very well for us all as it means the PC version is most definitely finished. Such PC assets would simply not exist if the PC version was barely going into development. R* is most definitely playing a strategic waiting game of some sorts, we'll just have to stick around and find out. All signs still point to a release before the end of this year.

 

And I know, yes this is a week old news now, but it's encouraging to see the files again in the updated, newest version of the app.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing a fairly extensive graphical options list, much like we saw in Max Payne 3.

 

I'm off to see if the online in GTA V is actually working now. Apparently it's been working pretty well on 360. So it seems like at least some of the problem lies with Sony......damn consoles lol

 

I think the sooner R* gets this console online crap under control, the sooner we'll get that announcement.

f*ck, PS3 version is still not working at all. But I started a fire fight/high speed chase in single player that was pretty damn awesome xD. f*ck, this game is ridiculous levels of good. I'm not playing any of the story line right now, because I want to go in fresh come PC, but just messing around in the streets is incredible fun. Waaaaaay funner than GTA IV.

 

Sorry guys, I don't mean to mean to gloat, or make you all feel bad lol. Just want to let you know that the game is amazing, you're in for a treat.

 

PC version can't come soon enough, though......sigh.

dude i live on the same property as my brother, he has an xbox and gtaV, he has flashed this game in my face so many times, i gave in the other night and drove around on a sanchez, i was so blown away

GTA Online looks immensely fun. I've seen some videos where there were no colossal bugs and problems, and it was quite amazing.

 

It really warms my heart, because I'm an APB veteran. And just seeing people go about their business. On their respective paths and activities, and you can completely f*ck with 'em. Seeing that actually done right Is pretty fulfilling, even without having played it myself. Just the atmosphere of it.

 

That's why it absolutely NEEDS to come to PC. It needs to kill APB: Reloaded. Because Reloaded is an abomination. A money-grabbing, effortless piece of sh*t that somehow keeps attracting people because of one reason; They want that GTA Online experience.

 

But they can't f*cking get it because It's trapped on almost decade old hardware.

Don't expect any news today.

Still expect an announcement before the 10th, trouble with online or not. It doesn't matter for their announcement plans.

BTW someone said something about, Japan release beeing more important now. And that is why it releases sooner then normal. But also there is a difference with the PC version, this time arround. Because we do have proof of it beeing in development, for a while now. Instead of just beeing a port after the console version has been released. So yes im still optimistic the announcement for PC will be before the Japan release date.

We just need to use simple logic here, the last 2 games released for PC (L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3) had a smaller gap then IV had, both had DX11 support (not natively for L.A. Noire) so there is no reason to go back now.

So yes, as I said back in 2012 GTAV was developed in the same way as Max Payne 3 alongside with consoles, it will support DX9 - DX11 being able to run in almost every possible PC setup and will be released way before the 8 months time frame needed to port the whole game from a awkward architecture as the current consoles to the PC architecture. And all this was done not only to create a better experience to PC users but also to be able to port it for the Next Gen consoles, either now or after a few months. No way in hell Rockstar would just keep the game in current gen consoles preventing people from moving to their new platform of choice. And let's be honest can you imagine Rockstar support for new content? They'll release the full assets to PC and then they need to smash them over and over till they fit in the current gen consoles, that will take the double of time and extra tweaking.
