PC Version of GTA V Discussion

Not only that, but the PC version is - and I have PROVEN this fact in this very thread before the game came out and its OWN files proved my EXACT claims were true - that DX11 = the screenshots, downscaled from 2560x1440.

 

This is a fact. It is no longer speculation or any other sh*t people said while coming in here and attacking the PC gamers on this forum. It is now a fact, and people can eat every one of their words, because I was right, those screenshots look nothing like the final game. And I told people why months and months before it even came out.

 

Anyone who saw it all come to light and be proven want to let the trolls on the forum know that I am not lying about this? Thanks in advance. I have been under attack by lowlifes for days now.

 

 

Good to see you posting again in this thread, Brian. And yep, we've had plenty of naysayers, trolls and willfull ignorants come into this thread over the past few days. Many of them have been provided the evidence, the irrefutable pieces of evidence like the link provided above, and STILL retain the ridiculous notion that the PC version doesn't exist or was not developed alongside consoles.

 

It's quite mind boggling.

Feeling like playing GTA IV online all of a sudden.

 

I might as well. The servers are gonna die in July (Thankfully, Games For Windows LIVE along with them).

 

I can't help but wonder what the Steam pre-order bonuses for GTA V would be. I sure do hope there's a Digital Deluxe-type version that includes Niko and Claude as parents.

 

(Yes I'm thinking way ahead to fool myself into cheering up).

The funny thing is that Rockstar blames piracy for not selling good on PC, but the real thing is that PC users loose hype and interest for Rockstar videogames all because of the delay... And, when the game come out, PC users dont want to give Rockstar money, I mean, PC users hate Rockstar at this point because of the lack of information about the PC version and the delay. So, there you have it Rockstar piracy now days. Is their own fault.

It's true. I would literally pay double price for a PC copy of GTA V right now, or in the next two months. But if that doesn't happen soon, I'll end up just playing through the game on my PS3 copy, and probably not give a sh*t about this game 5, 6, or 7 months from now. They'll lose a customer, that's for sur.e

It's clear that they are very busy working on GTA Online. And they'll continue to do this within at least 2 next weeks.

 

Even if some other people are working on PC version right now, they'll not announce PC version within the next 2 weeks

They done goofed for sure. Another discovery minutes ago shows that Half-Life 3 is confirmed 100% now. The hype train will grow massively in the next few hours, leaving GTA V pc 'hype' in the dust.

It's not true. Rockstar is not stupid. EVERY developer wants EVERY platform out on the same day and piracy is a nonissue in the connected world of gaming. The value of full-features trumps the urge to download a gimped copy in all but the worst cases.

 

You do not delay any platform unless you absolutely have to.

 

It is not about making resales two platforms to one person, it is not about piracy.

 

I assure you, they have been trying very hard to "close the gap" between PC and console releases, and are on record claiming that they did so with max Payne 3, whose PC version suffered a 2 week delay, just as GTA V suffered a 6 month delay, which clearly effected their plans with the PC version.

 

Smart developers know better than all theories we make. I know better because I have educated myself about it and spent time in and around the gaming industry.

 

You NEVER delay a platform, unless someone has paid you to do so. IV was 360, paid for. PS2 era was PS2. Paid for.

 

Rockstar makes enough money now that they don't need to be paid in order to finally hit all target platforms, they are just not yet where they want to be - which is where every developer wants to be - simultaneous launches. I assure.

R* has been very very disgraceful to their PC comminuty over the past decade and they will stay on that.

Their strategy works outstanding, their strategy works very good. First release GTA only for consoles

and release the PC 8 months laters. This is just very disgusting what they are doing to the PC community.

They truely f*ck over the PC gamers without any reason. Piracy is NOT an excuse, we got Steam for f*ck sake!

And most of the PC gamers got better things to do than waiting 8 months hopeless for the PC version.

Spring 2014? F*ck no, you dirty R*. Interest in GTAV is long time ago lost and we have been drooling on Watch Dogs and ACIV.

And probably more good games coming out in 2014. How R* is treating us like trash, they make EA and Activion

very good companies because they release almost any games on all platform at the same time.

I mean, Half Life 3 is confirmed, and we have a ton of next gen games to look forward to. I love GTA, but like I said before, I'm not hyped for a PC version anymore. November can't get here fast enough. We'll have tons of better games to play. And best of all? They won't be simple console ports like GTA IV and Skyrim were.

From what I've heard, Rockstar already shot down a next gen version. Dan said that they are always working on the current platform. This means that the next GTA will more than likely be on next gen consoles only, and GTA V will stay on current gen.

They also show The Last of us and Saints Row 4..... they just put in a few PS3 games.
