emember the GTA V .XML file from the Xbox 360 version that contained references to a PC version? The same file from the PS3 version also has a lot of beta changelogs and detailed bug reports left over, including reports tied to PC, DX11 and x64.

 

Some interesting lines:

  • •**PC users please do not grab this build (yet)** oPC build has ran into some late issues that seems to prevent it from loading.
  • •PC build not tested today.
  • [PT] [PC] Player is asked to be signed in on the PC when loading or saving games, this causes issues on PC as there is nothing to sign into yet

 

and it just keeps going on and on and on..

As me and many other people said before - PC won't be a port and Rockstar started developing the PC version more than one year ago. I think even earlier than 2012. It should be a very good version of the game, just like Max Payne 3.

Grew up with a PC and GTA, myself.

 

I mean the very first ones, too. Top-down style. Ah, i miss those times.

 

As someone who has been using a keyboard and mouse for everything and anything PC related since i was around 6, i can say that i could not wrap my head around a controller and why anyone (Even casual gamers) would pick it over a simple WASD keyboard.

 

I have an Xbox 360 and i bought it for Red Dead Redemption. I don't know if i should be ashamed to admit that i just couldn't play at all, at the start. I literally could not focus at all on the actual game with my concentration being completely occupied by attempting to comprehend the needless idiocy of such an imprecise device in my hands.

 

I sound quite ignorant and stubborn, i know. But it's just the way it is, lol.

There are some genres which keyboards are terrible for: Racing and Fighting games being the two biggest culprits. Personally, I prefer controllers for all genres except shooters and RTS's, but I don't play those genres that much anyway. Also my opinion is biased by the two genres I play the most being the two mentioned above...

 

For the sake of an example, I cannot imagine anyone doing this on a keyboard:

 

 

 

 

 

Well, you think you wouldn't be able to do it because you are not experienced with a keyboard, but it's possible.

 

Also, you can use a controller on PC anyways, it can be a PS3, Xbox or a third party controller so I don't see the problem, everybody can use what they want easily and cheaply (different story on consoles).

They could. But it's more likely to get an announcement after the GTA Online release. Like Silver Wolf said before - they need to make sure everything is working right and then they've got all time in the world to announce a PC version.

I don't think it's very likely. I can see it happening a few days to a few weeks after the launch of GTA Online when Rockstar has ironed out major bugs and glitches. When the multiplayer works properly, they will announce the PC version. That sounds the most plausible to me out of all the speculations and theories.

It's good that they found out that stability is poor, at least they can fix it :D And we don't know the date of those logs... Could be 2009...

 

About G2Play - they are really trusted and this could be true, still it doesn't mean it will be released in Spring 2014, could be earlier. Anyways, this is good. They also changed release date on their website, I checked G2Play website a few days ago, there was no release date, but now - Grand Theft Auto V is expected to be released Spring, 2014. Release dates are subject to change without notice.

Oh, Rockstar, don't do this sh*t again xDD.

Don't worry, the bug report is at least a year old or even older, so the problem is probably already fixed. Previewers also stated in fall last year that GTAV had a ton of aliasing and serious performance problems on the console version, and Rockstar fixed these problems in less than a year.

I'll be investing my money on a other game then.

 

On spring 2014 most of us will know almost everything about GTA V so we won't be interested to play it as we are now.

I doubt that the supplier of the company knows anything regarding the release date or release window of the PC version. I would think that only the biggest retailers might get information before the fans/customers. And even that isn't always a given.

im using a XIM Edge and my PC setup to play GTA5 right now.. Feels just like im using my PC to play.. Got the monitor rigged up plus the sound comes through my PC.. Think ill get the keys a bit messed up when I finally get the PC version but hey ho.
