PC Version of GTA V Discussion

Well remember how GTA V folder was found inside Social Club? I say they forgot to remove them. So expect iFruit 1.1 very soon lol

Too many forgotten things in all this... Social Club folder, configuration code in XBox files, icons in the iFruit app... Maybe R* left all that information on purpose, maybe not to give us hints about it, but to save work themselves in the future (lazy R*).

At least now we are 200% sure - it's coming. Rockstar knew that people would find stuff like this.

Last time they f*cked up with GTA V in a Social Club update and they immediately pulled it But yeah that's even more solid evidence, I think we'll see an announcement really soon

Max payne 3 released only a month later from the console version on PC. I hope the same team is porting it to get a non-sh*tty release C:

In my most optimistic thoughts I think we'll see a release even before that. An announcement next week after the consoles' hype has calmed and a release in mid-late October or early November would be neat.

It won't be a port, it'll be like max payne 3 and developed with the consoles, if it's a port then we'll wait 8 months like we did for IV.

Given the fact we saw GTA V PC slipping up in a Social Club update back in 2012 and the files being in the GTA V Xbox discs and the iFruit app, I'd say it was developed at the same time, like Max Payne 3.

If it's true what you people says about GTAV being developed with the consoles and what he said^,

GTAV will gonna look really much nicer as the promo screenshots on my future i7-4770, GTX780 SC and 16GB!

But one thing is very very important: fixing the sh*tty handling!

GTAV is really big and a good handling is very important!!

I've gone into my storage unit and blown the dust off my PS3. I'll have it tomorrow and to be honest, I'm more excited about posting pictures on this thread for analysis than playing. lol

Max payne 3 released only a month later from the console version on PC.

MP3 was supposed to release simultaneously, but it ended up in releasing a couple of weeks after the initial release; not a month.

 

A release in this year is still possible, as long as there is an announcement before the end of next month. If it really happens, then that would be probably an all-time peak of my hype for a videogame. Since the release of the next-generations consoles is happening in the next couple of months, and given that RAGE already runs fully optimized on the PC platform, V is most likely not a port on PC. It would not make sense to go a step back, when you managed to go a step forward after all the years. In other words, it wouldn't make sense if GTAV would be a port. It's the bigger title if you compare it to Rockstars previous title, Max Payne 3, and giving it an inferior treatment, even if it is only on one platform, makes no sense whatsoever. Look at it from this view; developing a game seperatly for PC (in this case it would be seperatly for ALL platforms) is the best way to learn how to work with next-gen titles, given the similar architecture.

That's most likely a fake, it's not owned by Rockstar Games or at least it has not a direct connection. Plus, the background images al pixelated or come from bad quality jpg images, making it all a really poor design that a company like R* would never do if it's not on purpose, and I doubt this is the case.

That Nvidia leak was really suspicious.They had to take it back of course,but you dont make mistake like that.

If he misspoke he would correct himself immediately but it took them like a day.

 

So i think we will see a 2013 release(i hope) but i dont mind the wait as long as its polished and performs well.

Very true, anyone from the Nvidia team could of cleared it up there and then. Someone would of looked and cross referenced that speech a fair few times before handing it over to be spoken. It's scary though how powerful Rockstar seems to be in the industry.

 

No publisher would normally slap around huge companies like Nvidia and Amazon, but that's exactly the type of thing the Rockstar gestapo do.

Along with all we've seen in the last few days, yes, what was said from Nvidia is starting to have some credibility, but I'm usually a pessimistic person with this kind of stuff, and I really don't think we'll see a 2013 release on PC, though in the bottom of my heart I really hope to be awfully wrong xD

Guys, all those last evidences made me think... And if the PC version is coming out before the next gen consoles? To tease the actual console owners to buy a GTA again on new ones?

 

We didnt saw anything about the PS4 or XB1 in the IFruit files....

 

I would R* release a Online game for 2 consoles at they end of life cycle? Just for tease (and make a lot money with singleplayer of course).

So we, PC gamers and future next consolers are already crazy to buy this game, cuz we've seen some footage and we know that it ill be even more sick on these versions. But if R* release it for PC couple weeks before PS4 and Xbox 1, saying: "This is how the game will look on the next gen consoles, singleplayer and online, enjoy it!", the actual console gamers would be a lot teased to buy it again! And this would boost the sales.

 

We PC gamers would be used to make more money for the next gen consoles. ( I really dont care, since we get the game ASAP).

 

Ok, this is just a crazy theory, but is a valid one right? R* is doing everything possible to make tons of money on that game...

 

I like to think this is possible, cuz we would get the game earlier than we expect! hahahahahha
